This RINO is worse than a Democrat. It's because of subhumans like RINOs that ranked choice voting may not be entirely bad. It would be good to be able to rank this RINO last on the list, just below Pence, on a long ballot.

DeSantis had a lot of nice things to say about Asa Hutchinson. Apparently, they have other things in common. RINOS are not worse than democrats because they are democrats and nobody's worse than a democrat. It's up to us to do our homework and not be fooled by them.

Government shouldn't interfere with parental rights, period. This applies to ALL issues, not just trans.

Government also should not be trying to mandate political and sexual indoctrinations of minors - which the US federal government is trying to do.

Government also should not be trying to force doctors to give dangerous trans drugs, hormones and operations to minors against their will - which the US federal government is trying to do.

Governments also should not be allowing minors to receive vaccinations and trans procedures without parental knowledge or consent - which the US federal government is trying to do, and which such states as CA are in the process of doing right now.

Adults can do what they like biologically and sexually. Every adult has the right to their own lifestyle choices.

No one cared about transsexuals until trans became a militant political operation aimed at undermining women and targeting highly impressionable children and teens.

Trans and gender identity campaigns are being manufactured for political and financial purposes.

At least Christine Jorgensen singed a consent form. There is the case of tall girls being treated with DES when being tall was considered to be a medical condition. They now have medical problems which appear to be iatrogenic.

For someone involved in an ideology that promotes freedom of health choice it is quite the contradiction that you rail against people doing just that--making choices for themselves and their children. It really is not your business to judge or promote interference. This is one of the major contradictions on the Right--Freedom for me but not for thee. Time to get your thinking straight and chose one side or the other.

Say it ain't so? Why? We want transparency. Which side do you choose. Asa is for mutilating children. It's good to know. Like RFKjr imprisoning global warming deniers.

I agree with the basic moral arguments of the commenters here. However, unless I read Asa’s comments incorrectly, I see where he’s coming from, he makes a good point which I will paraphrase here “if we legislate parental rights, we can require vaccination” (see his comment). The only problem with this comment is the GOP already AGREED decades ago with the idea of required vaccinations. Hes citing age-old GOP conservative argument which I agree with: limit government involvement in individual lives as much as possible.

Here’s an interesting example of a govt law that went wrong: Pro-life advocates helped push a bill in Texas some years ago that allowed pharmacists to refuse the “morning-after” pill. One astute prolife conservative Senator (who I know personally fairly well, and she’s an MD) argued against it. She stated at the time it would come back to bite patients and doctors. It did. From 2020-present, HEB (our primary largest and most prolific grocery store in Texas) pharmacies are refusing Ivermectin prescriptions from many doctors (I have this directly from Dr Bowden BTW, she’s written directly to me about it and tweeted about it). So, again, while we may agree morally, less govt intrusion sometimes is better.

A cautionary tale.

A true Conservative does not need to pander to the chaos agents espousing "trans-sexualism," reverse racism, or anti-meritocracy (aka affirmative action) to win an election. There are enough sane voters, even in the Dem party, who reject these heinous perversions and fairy tales.

Hutchinson may as well withdraw his candidacy today after making such a frankly stupid and ill-advised statement. In my eyes, he's done politically.

Transgendering children is the mistake. Hormone treatment is the price children pay. They can't have one without the other, so they should stop where it begins - transgender children!
