I literally had to fight off a nurse trying to inject me with a blood thinner after having hip surgery. After about five days it caused terrible bruising so I decided to use vitamin C & aspirin instead. The nurse got incensed and jabbed me in the abdomen-- you are entitled to refuse medication .She was screaming "you have to take it" I wanted to file a compliant but at least they stopped trying to force inject me. Very difficult to deal with the staff at rehab centers & nursing homes. They are not used to resistance.
I usually don't take any drugs -- but needed painkillers. However, the side effects were horrible but the medical staff refused to provide cannibis ( legal where I live) so a caregiver got me cannibis gummies & smuggled them in. Big pharma has been fighting marijuana for decades. Their painkillers caused the worst contipation I have ever experienced --only side effect from gummies was relief. I really feel there is an element of sadism at play here. Big Pharma wants to be in Control & we are peons, powerless and at their mercy. Thank god the tide is turning!

A woman I knew whose husband died from malignant melanoma a few years ago stopped here to tell me I should visit him as his time was short. I went the next day and the moment he saw me exclaimed, "You are the only one who never deserted us." His family were all around him and the pain he suffered was decreased largely by weed.
His reference was to a battle I wanted to fight against the woke college he taught at. I never had the chance. His wife refused, she just wanted to move on. (more on that later) He died a few days later. But I know I could have had the college president on his knees but never was allowed opportunity to do so.
