Pythons will soon swallow children and adults, a numbers game, it is happening, alligators are killing now routinely...see this story! A large python will emerge with a dead child inside it, just wait
What I don't understand is why someone would let a python go in the wild. If you have a critter of this nature you know they are very adaptable to new environments. You also know that in their natural places of origin they are known to eat children.
People that obtain wild animals as pets are extremely delusional in thinking they can domesticate something that will become big enough to put you in the food chain....
Do you live in Florida? I’ve lived here all my life except for when I was in the AF. We are in the subtropics. We have all kinds of cold blooded creatures, native and invasive thriving here. Alligators are native. Florida is a beautiful state and people have moved here for a variety of reasons but mostly because of nice, year round weather and the beaches are at the top of the list. It’s a joke here in the winter during cold fronts when temperatures drop into the 40’s that invasive iguanas fall out of trees. That’s true. They as well as gators are immobilized from the cold. They go into a comatose state. Iguanas are invasive & are everywhere. Very destructive to native wildlife.
Unfortunately, the large influx of people and the massive housing developments are encroaching on wildlife habitats. Just during the last 3 years of Covid hysteria more than 600,000 people moved to Florida. Coincidentally during the time DeSantis has been Governor. There are a lot of people who are naïve to the native environment and curiosity gets the best of them when they see wildlife they need to stay away from. Efforts by The FWC to control the gator population by All governors in the past & have been ongoing for years and years, still supported by DeSantis. There are laws to safeguard alligators to protect their population from being endangered again. The US fish and wildlife removed them from the endangered list in 1977. I will give bear hunting as an example. The native Florida black bear was hunted to near extinction starting in the 1930’s to 1993. Florida black bear began to flourish to the point of becoming a nuisance in some areas, and hunting bears once again allowed. Controversy from conservation defender groups were not happy believing that too many bears were being taken. So at the present time, only so many hunters can be permitted and they only give 1 tag per hunter during the hunting season. Unfortunately the bear population are now flourishing and so are bear sightings in communities as well as attacks on humans and pets are increasing. They go after human food sources easily accessible.
Aligator hunting season is regulated by the FWC and permit holders are permitted 2 tags per permit. 7,000 permits per year are issued. In a typical year 7-8,000 gators are taken. In addition, around 6-7000 nuisance gators are killed or relocated per year. 184,000 of those gators since 1997. That is well below the bar, only 57% of nuisance gators are captured by permitted trappers annually. Gators 4 ft and up can be a threat.
Hunting pythons in Florida is year round. If you go to myfwc.com they have all the information. You have to take classes in order to obtain a permit. In 2017 Governor DeSantis implemented the Python Elimination Program dedicating $3,000,000. Every year in August trophy hunts are conducted in addition to paying Python removal agents $13-18/hr while actively hunting. Incentives of $50 for each Python up to 4 ft & $25 for each additional ft. $200 for verifying an active nest. Their skins make beautiful purses, belts, wallets boots and more, are big business. Not cheap though.
Hope this explains the ongoing Python & gator removal efforts in Florida.
Thanks for the detailed explanation. DeSantis needs to keep working on state issues like this and get the hell off the national stage where he is only helping Democrats.
He's gone bobbing for dollars, ie campaigning. Get some cash in the kitty, fund a few things for himself. Its the rich get richer and the poor get.. poorer
I wish he would’ve said no. I believe holding onto red states and fortifying them against demonic left is critical. I believe moderates pressured him to run to pull him away his conservative stance. Which he has done that in a big way. But still so much work to be done because the a left intends to destroy all of it.
WaPo shows Trump up 10 points against Biden. No way does DeSantis have that much support.
The story about gator and the person who died I posted in notes. As I feared it was another homeless person. Links to other aligator incidents in the article if anyone wants to read it.
Oh please, you have me in stitches here! The fear mongering here is ridiculous. Do you HEAR yourselves? Florida is a GREAT climate and every pest, insect lizard, bird, vine, plant and plant disease LOVES us! Yes its true! BUT to AVOID dangers be PRUDENT! You would not believe how stupid people are, as with these posts here...
Yes, great state, shame about the management. In other places around the Western world that have a similar climate with similar wildlife, they don't let it get out of hand. They keep it under control. There's none of this green left woke bullshit that Florida has about "You are in the critters' habitat. Walk gently upon the earth" etc. Look, I'm ok with the Burning Man festival up in Nevada but it's no model for how to run a state.
Why not apply for Python hunting e permit here in Florida? Get your self a swamp buggy, an Airboat, a couple firearms and all the other gear needed, don’t forget mosquito repellent and proper attire.
Lots of people in South Florida are making a decent living off of Python hunting. Thanks to Governor DeSantis executive order issued in 2017. He and all other Governors do have to abide by Federal
Wildlife management regulations BTW. But let me assure you he is taking every necessary step to eradicate the Python problem. Unfortunately some of the areas in the Everglades they’re inhabiting are extremely difficult to access due to hazardous terrain.
People who hate on DeSantis and want to trash him every chance they get are not doing their homework. He must not be doing too bad of a job or I don’t think Florida’s population would have increased by over 600,000 residents in the last 3 years.
BE GLAD its not an anaconda problem. I hate snakes and fear snakes. Spiders too. OTH, I give them giant berth and they tend to leave me alone. Could never camp out tho, after seeing the Tarantula migration from down the Grand Canyon upto the top.. in winter that's what they do. Yikes!
President Trump described DeSantis as an average Republican governor and that is correct. At the state level he is better than.a Democrat. I hope he stays governor of Florida. He has the ability to do that job.
I hope you express satire. Because really, this state is swampy and filled with the critters. Alligators are like pigeons here. (which some people call, rats with wings). And you don't go about eradicating them. They have their place in the food chain and ecology. Gators are endemic to the state. And that's fine. You can live with them JUST FINE. You avoid em, they avoid YOU. You don't feed them, bait them, or taunt them. You respect them. I am minded of the South African Tourist who lost their life taking a flash photo of a bull elephant AFTER being told NOT TO. Elephants can stamped and move VERRRRY fast and smash you to a pulp. Exactly what befell stupid flash camera tourist. Others have been eaten by big cats AFTER being EXPRESSLY told not to wander at night by yourself EVEN in the lodge areas! Hellloooo!?? Listen to the advice. Hippos and Rhinos!! MOVE VERY FAST AND CAN KILL YOU! Don't think so? Hum. How many tourist die from that each year? If you feed dangerous wildlife (like some dumb new to Florida residents do) you get eaten in the end. They are NOT racoons guys! Or foxes. Or coyotes (all of which we ALSO have here).
Coyotes will tear you to shreds as well. And don’t forget bobcats. We see them more frequently than coyotes. But both of those are showing up frequently in communities in our area.
PS. And don't swim off shore beach areas in Florida a Dawn or Dusk. Especially not during fish migration times. That's feeding hour for Sharks. Just sayin. Practice safety, know your dangers and your area... I mean... yeah. We aren't Australia (home to more poisonous dangerous animals than anywhere else on the planet I think? Certain snakes and spiders).
No problem with beautiful Florida or its people or climate or wildlife, other than the RINOS and especially the big RINO who needs to stay in Florida and govern the state. Sometimes wildlife gets out of hand, often because of foolish policies ofvenvironmentalists. In southern Australia, they have a big problem with a native pest species known as "koala bears." They're not dangerous but numbers got out of control, causing big problems for humans, especially farmers. It took wildfires to bring them under control. In northern and north western Australia, where several areas are similar to Florida, and there are lots of giant pythons and venomous snakes and crocodiles, when crocodile numbers get too big, and start eating too many torists or invading the CBD of towns, TPTB have wildlife rangers relocate them to safer area or they nip the problem in the bud at an early stage to stop it from getting out of hand. The left there has the same attitude as Florida. The right thinks people are more important than reptiles. Florida is great but your governor needs to stay there for at least a few more years and get out of the way of a better man who is being obstructed by your governor in his efforts to Make America Great Again.
I made in one comment that many who are killed or injured by gators in recent years were homeless or drug addicts or both. Unfortunately this was the case in this incident with the 14 foot gator. I’ll will share the article from a Tampa news feed in notes. Very sad.
I believe a lot of them were released when that hurricane that took out the Hurricane Tracking place in that area, happened. All kinds of pet shops were destroyed and the critters were liberated.
Perhaps 'pet stores' need to rethink there enclosures. Building codes have adapted and construction material companies have improved glass silicones etc. to withstand storms.
I was raised in this area and as kids we used to swim and waterski in the lakes. Gators had been hunted down to as some said, neat extinction so I think the stopped the practice or limited it?
Most got loose from a snake dealer who housed them near the Everglades and his facility was destroyed causing 60 Burmese pythons to escape. They can lay up to 100 eggs at a time. There have been a few accidental pet snakes released/escaped. Anyone who releases these intentionally needs to go to jail.
Lol, I was born and raised in good ole Fla...this is so normal. Living there in the 70’s, was, of course, different. We lived in Coral Springs, which backed up to the Everglades at the time. I have seen an alligator eat a dog, a 25 ft python removed from our next door neighbor’s house, and we had to call the Seminole Indians come and wrestle a 15 foot alligator in our backyard. Now, today, with the influx of people, these guys are going to get aggressive and remember YOU ALL LIVE IN THEIR TERRITORY! THEY DONT LIVE IN YOURS. Be kind. PS people are bound to get eaten, if they play around!🤣🤣🤣
They were protected at one time. All creatures big and small, beautiful or ugly, strong or weak, aggressive or passive are Gods wonderful creation to us. I got stung by a man-o-war in the Keys, at sea camp...and I am alive and thriving!🤣
No, not that the opportunity hasn’t presented itself. I will eat frog legs before I will eat “Ze bugs”. Ihave to draw the line their my friend. Maybe someday.
No, but people who have them as pets, let them go. What is native is the king coral(constrictor), and the coral snake(venomous) they look very similar. “Red touches yellow, you are a dead fellow, but if red touches black, it has your back!” Learned that in elementary school 🤣
I’m right there with you! I grew up in Miami Springs. Now living in the Tampa Bay Area. It’s on going. Need more licensed trappers. They can’t keep up with the demand. If someone is careless and puts themselves into a situation where they are exposed to wildlife it’s their own fault. It’s a 3rd degree felony to injure or kill a gator. There have been gators found with their mouths taped shut, starving to death. You can’t just go out and kill gators for the heck of it, your life has to be threatened. Animal cruelty is a different matter. Even Pythons have to be humanely euthanized.
Compared to deaths from chronic diseases related to metabolic syndrome, mRNA jabs, and murders, gator attacks are absolutely not worth mentioning. For example, maybe 90,000 times as many people die from cancer in Florida each year than are killed by gators.
Why publish this substack article? The only reason I can think of is to directly and indirectly besmirch Ron DeSantis.
Big Farma profits bigly from repackaging processed carbs and seed oils into most of the calories that Americans consumes. That keeps Americans fat, unhappy, and sickly.
Big Pharma profits bigly from fat, unhappy, and sickly patients. They profit even more if some of their products for chronic diseases cause unwanted side effects, since then additional medications can be prescribed.
I agree. Governor DeSantis can’t send out aligator death squads. It’s illegal for one thing. More trappers are needed & I posted in great detail the reasons why. Traps are set for nuisance gators but they aren’t always caught. A pond about 100 yards from my house with a 9ft gator in it never got captured. It moved on like many do during mating season in the spring. Or any other time of the year.
mRNA jabs are a much bigger problem and 1000 times more dangerous than a gator attack.
Silent but deadly stuff.
It seems like homeless people are getting attacked by gators lately. They camp out in areas that are near their habitats. They are drunk or high and decide to go for a swim at night in a gator infested lake. But it’s the things we can’t see we have to be worried about. Spraying, cloud seeding from aircraft, EMF & 5G exposure, mRNA shedders. Weaponized 3 letter agencies.
Climate change will soon eliminate them, and a whole lot of us. It's getting colder, and you wondered what all this global (Gorebull) warming was about. Now you know, cold kills a hell of a lot more efficiently than heat.
Yes, global warming already leveled off from its warming trend since the end of the Little Ice Age. And "climate change" Alarmism is a bad joke . . . of course the climate is always changing! The whole hysterical non-issue is nothing but another excuse to scare and control people (makes them easier to exterminate!).
Actually, fun fact, gators are cold blooded, the cold doesn’t affect them. We just caught one in Jersey, in 50° weather. They live through frost and can live in cool temperatures👍🏼
It’s not the gators. They’ve been around forever. It’s the people. Florida getting flooded by all those looking to escape other states. Floridians know the rules about “critters.” Rule No. 1 -- if it’s fresh water, don’t go in because you can be sure there’s a gator already in it. In fact, don’t even go near it. Rule No. 2 -- don’t feed the gators. They can move much faster than you. I see little old ladies in their senior communities giving the grandkids marshmallows to feed the gators. Or, they take the grandkids and their poodle and walk around the lake at sunset. Dogs are a favorite snack for gators. Then they wonder why the kid or poodle got eaten. You can fix ignorant but you can’t fix stupid.
Alligators and sharks have been in Florida a lot longer than have been humans. It is the pythons that are an introduced species. Kids shouldn't be out in the woods by themselves without adequate survival training.
Yes. Alligators stay away and if someone you knew got bit what to do, remember the 70’s? We had no cell phones. Health class was mandatory. We could not graduate without it, from elementary, middle and high school. I was stung by a man-o-war when I was 11, at sea camp in the Keys. Learned loads there and swam with bull and lemon sharks, got to see a lobster bed migrate with thousands of them, swam in a school of barracuda, sting rays, skates. Florida was beautiful when I was growing up❤️ but, very dangerous and through health class and trial and error, we learned so much.
Hmmm . . . I don't think I had to take a Health Class 'till I was in college. But I'm older than you.
I did swim/snorkle once off Key Largo, the coral reefs down there: John Pennycamp State Park. Beautiful, clear, warm water. I didn't know lobsters migrated! 'Way different from my California ocean!
We had to take health class, lots of dangerous stuff in Fla. we learned how to apply tourniquet after a shark bite. Snake bites, how to help someone who is drowning, all the crazy first responder stuff, when I was 11. Wow, right? How to take the tentacles off off after being stung. I was the test subject, learned what to look for in shallow waters like sea urchins, sea cucumbers and rays...puffers are one of my fav fish, but honestly swimming with a bull was very cool.
Yes, Johnpenny camp! Key Largo! With a big Jesus arms out stretched in the water. The reef was beautiful when I was young. Went back in ‘97, I was shocked. It looked like a dirty canal. No coral, no barracudas just skates and rays. I was so sad. I was in Sea Camp on Big Pine Key. That’s where I was stung by the man-o-war. It was wild, scary and exciting all at the same time! Behind me was a kid I liked, Robbie, will never forget his name, thought I was popping the small white jellyfish that live in the kelp beds, but nope, this time it was horrible. I popped the body and pushed it back. It landed on Robbie’s back. The tentacles were stuck in my fingers. It burned when I took my hand out of the water I knew it wasn’t those little jellyfish I popped along the beach as a child. Sounds strange, but I think what saved me. The life guards/camp counselors pulled the tentacles off slowly, I was scared I was going to die, but as they were doing it, they put meat tenderizer on it. We were too far for hospital. It was ok and I am ok.
Yes, Cali is much different than Fla. for sure. I drove the PCH. One of the highlights of my entire life. Lived there for 9 years. Loved it. If there wasn’t so much nasty politics I would still be living there...
There is NOTHING greater a Man can do, than to brave danger, make mistakes, and if needed, to apologize. Safety, comfort, and indulgence, are not masculine.
Do you even live in Florida? People have been taking action for over 20 years. Alligators live here. Stay away from them = no problem. What is the government supposed to do about natural wildlife?
Do you live in Florida? Then why do we even have State agencies that they fall under? Looks like they are getting to be just like all those ILLEGAL ALIENS JOE is allowing to swarm into our Country. All those middle aged men aren't coming into US to do menial jobs. We all better be prepared to defend our Great Country against these human invaders.
UN police where? You know Obama wanted to bring in UN police. He came up with this bright idea during his reign of terror for 8 long years. I say he never won re-election. Romney never had the guts to challenge and he choked. Then maybe he was threatened or paid off to get lost.
We are the fattest country on the planet and it’s celebrated rather than looked down upon. Heart disease is number one killer but if that was addressed big Pharma would be out of business.
If heart disease were addressed properly, and Fauci-related diseases (Covid, AIDS) weren't so lucrative, then yes, Big Pharma would be 100X smaller. Note, that heart disease is not the most lucrative disease from Big Pharma's perspective, but the root cause of must heart disease is that same as the root cause of most other chronic diseases, even some non-deadly ones.
Big Pharma loves chronic diseases, which require daily meds for life.
No. That is part of Florida’s wildlife preserve laws. There was several places for alligators at one time, but you all keep moving into their territory! DeSantis doesn’t care...
The one time I went to a conference in Florida there was an alligator alert on the tv to warn families not to let pets and children out on the yard. I guess that is the risk of living in florida. I would not like it. I lived in Cali with the risk of earthquakes and in Iowa with tornadoes. I prefer weather risks and not predator species risks.
& often storms will damage pet stores and they escape
It does seem to have gotten bad recently on DeSantis' watch. Why is he not doing anything?

300-600 eggs....
Most got loose from a snake habitat near Homestead Florida when Hurricane Andrew hit inn1992.
Because people are shitters and they don't CARE about the Pet's well being!!
Hopefully they eat all of the New Yorkers moving here
Hopefully scare more away from moving down here in droves.. As development is booming, at least is on the Space Coast of Fl
Yes, ship those Gators to the Rio Grande... solve the border problems... with a side order of Piranha...

No
If he wanted to do that he would report on:
DeSantis PAC paying a state legislator to change his vote, allowing RD to stay governor while he ran for pres.
OR
RD Pacs directly coordinating with his campaign personal.
OR
The coming collapse of the insurance industry in FL.
OR
His lavis lifestyle with campaign funds.
OR
His unconstitutional acts against corporations.
OR
That he's a RINO, follow his money.
OR
How his net worth as increased substantially since attacking Trump.
OR
His attempts at Stolen Valor
OR
That he's dumber than a sack of rocks and less likable.
That he's dumber than a sack of rocks and less likable.
The best reply yet!🤣🤣🤣🙊🙉🙈👍🏼
Perhaps you should be considering attacking the chemical and pharmaceutical companies?????
Big Farma profits bigly from repackaging processed carbs and seed oils into most of the calories that Americans consumes. That keeps Americans fat, unhappy, and sickly.
Big Pharma profits bigly from fat, unhappy, and sickly patients. They profit even more if some of their products for chronic diseases cause unwanted side effects, since then additional medications can be prescribed.
Which is why you see junk food commercials, pharmaceutical commercials more than anything else.
Most deaths today are from heart disease and diabetes as we are the fattest country on the planet.
Yes, both CVD and diabetes are related to metabolic syndrome, as are Alzheimer’s and cancer.
Absolutely. 👍
Cancer is number two, but in some locations has become number one.
Don't forget those Covid jabs either!

(Haven’t read all the comments yet, but just in case someone else hasn’t already mentioned this…)
Solution to Florida’s alligator problem:
1. Loan them to Texas for the Rio Grande
2. Ship them to Northern Cites for patrol duty
3. Use as guard animals at Walmart & retail stores
I like numbers one and two! But won't "guard animals" eat the customers? Hey, I shop at Walmart occasionally!
Haha, point taken!
🤣🤣🤣
Excellent ideas!
This I agree with 100%
Actually, fun fact, gators are cold blooded, the cold doesn’t affect them. We just caught one in Jersey, in 50° weather. They live through frost and can live in cool temperatures👍🏼
Yes you did sir and for that thank you Governor DeSantis needs his people to address this for the children 🇺🇸🇺🇸
He has so please do your homework on that.
Straight up truth, right here! We used to entice them in the canals behind our houses🐊
Alligators and sharks have been in Florida a lot longer than have been humans. It is the pythons that are an introduced species. Kids shouldn't be out in the woods by themselves without adequate survival training.
Agreed, but even in 70’s, same thing. Learn to stay away in health class
"Learn to stay away in health class"
What?
"I was stung by a man-o-war when I was 11 . . . "
Good heavens! That's wild! (Literally!)
Hmmm . .
"A large python will emerge with a dead child inside it, just wait"...yes but when will the planes start dropping from the sky?
🤣🤣🤣soon, maybe Oct 4th or 11th..
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
There is NOTHING greater a Man can do, than to brave danger, make mistakes, and if needed, to apologize. Safety, comfort, and indulgence, are not masculine.
Hail Victory.
Maybe we should buy a Fauci and Biden a vacation to the Everglades
With bacon necklaces
Great idea
I need to add that the python who eats Fauci, would be a cannibal
Back in the good ole days. When the oil rig crew boats ran at night they would spot gators and run them over. It was great fun listening for the bump.
We swam in those waters. The gators stayed away from humans
Yes, they did until I decided, to entice one out of our canal, those suckers are fast, thank God, I was young🤣🤣🤣🤣 I could run faster🤣🤣🤣
Why isn't DeSantis taking action? Doesn't he have his administration investigating these situations?
Does he even care, since he doesn't spend much time minding our State of Florida?
Do you even live in Florida? People have been taking action for over 20 years. Alligators live here. Stay away from them = no problem. What is the government supposed to do about natural wildlife?
Do you live in Florida? Then why do we even have State agencies that they fall under? Looks like they are getting to be just like all those ILLEGAL ALIENS JOE is allowing to swarm into our Country. All those middle aged men aren't coming into US to do menial jobs. We all better be prepared to defend our Great Country against these human invaders.
I live in Florida. We are talking about alligators and snakes. What are you carrying on about?
I'm making comparisons. You better pay attention to what I'm saying. You won't need to
be concerned abut alligators and snakes. You will have the human form trying to take us
over.
Have you read the book “Behold the Pale Horse” by William Cooper? If you have not I’d recommend it. Get an original 500 page copy from EBay.
True, true
🤣🤣🤣excellent comment
Yupe, UN police
UN police where? You know Obama wanted to bring in UN police. He came up with this bright idea during his reign of terror for 8 long years. I say he never won re-election. Romney never had the guts to challenge and he choked. Then maybe he was threatened or paid off to get lost.
Yes.
Because this is a totally bogus issue! Gator-related deaths are minuscule compared to so many other causes of death in Florida.
Nice post, very true
No. That is part of Florida’s wildlife preserve laws. There was several places for alligators at one time, but you all keep moving into their territory! DeSantis doesn’t care...
Just, WOW.... end times nightmare stuff!
End Times? Alligators et al have been around since 'way before humans! Nothing new about it at all . . . more like "Beginning Times".
I refer to The Book of Revelation 6:8. No need to opine, you are not a bible fan.
I don't recall anything in Revelation about alligators. Did I miss something?
The one time I went to a conference in Florida there was an alligator alert on the tv to warn families not to let pets and children out on the yard. I guess that is the risk of living in florida. I would not like it. I lived in Cali with the risk of earthquakes and in Iowa with tornadoes. I prefer weather risks and not predator species risks.
