new research (JAMA) sought to ask if glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists semaglutide etc. are linked to suicide, suicide ideation? Results were startling as the answer is YES!
and then we are telling them of the danger, they dont care, they want to get into the tight clothes and (cough cough Oprah) then when the shit hits the fan, they want to sue...
I saw an ENT years back who prescribed a PPI. Months later I told him I'd discontinued it due to side effects and asked about natural options (slant pillow, waiting for bedtime after eating, etc.) He told me "he doesn't mention those as most people don't like lifestyle modifications."
What a system! "Take some pills! When the side effects come, we've got pills for those , too!" And on, and on, and on.
Same here. I had stressed induced peptic and duodenal ulcers that landed me in the hospital for a week complete with endoscopy. Gastroenterologist prescribed protonix PPI. I took it longer than I liked. I found that zinc l-carnosine could cure ulcers. I weaned off the PPI using zinc l-carnosine, then only zinc l-carnosine for 12 weeks and now I'm free of all of it. I keep zinc l-carnosine on hand just in case. I also used DGL when I had a bad flare up while I was on the PPI. I prefer natural treatment and most problems can b ed remedied naturally. My regular doctor, a DO, I see once a year, agreed to what I did to get off the PPI. No more stomach issues, no more RX and no more annual gastroenterologist!
They will not listen. Instant gratification wins. Life style changes are time consuming and such a bother. Quick fix, please. Because after all: “ Every one is using the GLP-1’s.” It doesn’t matter the side effects, as a matter of fact, when there are side effects, they do not recognize them as being related to weight loss medication.
excellent post, very key information...our issue is that we want gratification on the spot and cant grasp that you got to put in the work...took your actions to get you there and will take your actions to get you out of there...the application as a weight loss drug is horrendous...pharma will kill people
From side effects, or through suicidal thoughts, what happened? We know people using it. Craziness. A failed diabetic medicine, now a weightloss medicine. Go figure.
My wife and I have been married for 40 years. Her doctor started her on Ozempic, said it would help her lose weight. My wife has been fighting excess weight for many years with diets that never worked. When she told me about Ozempic I started to research and became concerned. After months of no weight loss and many shots I discussed with her the negative reports. I asked her to stop the Ozempic to this date she had not lost weight. After all the diets and Ozempic danger, I asked her to try something. First I asked her to replace her diet soda with water also as much as possible eliminate sugar from her diet. She has done as I asked for 3 months. She records her weight every Monday on the calendar. For the first time that I can remember every Monday her weight has gone down. In the last 3 months she has lost over 20 pounds. Now I plan to get her more active and out of the house hopefully this will help more. God Bless everyone and stay healthy, Thanks.
My husband is type 2 diabetic. Three years ago his doctor added ozempic to his regime. It was. 50 once a week. He nearly passed out every week after the injection because it drastically dropped his blood sugar. So the dose was reduced to. 25 weekly and he occasionally has to eat a candy bar afterwards because it drops his blood sugar too low. I was concerned from the first dose. Fast forward and for the past six months he's been having leg cramps. Two weeks ago he's started having cramps in his fingers and at times it's like trigger finger on his left thumb. I read many comments from a reddit article in addition to your warnings Dr. Alexander. I'm into natural herbs and supplements. Before ozempic I had him take alpha lipoic acid and it was working but then it started dropping his sugar too low. I had him testing his blood sugar several times daily which was inconvenient as a truck driver. Next i bought the lowest dose of alpha lipoic acid but he had his annual physician visit and ozempic instead. He was on Lipitor for high cholesterol. I showed him how bad Lipitor, Crestor, etc were especially for dementia. I asked him to try two alternatives and he agreed. In six months we had his bad cholesterol from 300 to 100. His doctor was thrilled, took him off Lipitor and said to keep doing what we were doing. People have got to stop trusting big pharma.
Chitosan before meals and Sytrinol after meals. It took about 5 months for his cholesterol to come down. I buy bestvite brand because their chitosan is the only brand I've found that can be taken immediately before meals. I buy their sytrinol as well. KAL sells chitosan but it has to be taken 30 minutes before meals because the capsule takes that long to absorb. Chitosan grabs the fat before it reaches the liver and it goes out in your poo. You may notice small white or yellow fat in your poo. Chitosan is made from shrimp shells. My doctor told me to take chitosan years ago after I lost a kidney to cancer. Chitosan is a natural oligomer polysaccharide that can reduce acute kidney injury (AKI) and renal interstitial fibrosis.
I decided to try it after at my docs office when 3-4 of the women there, 2 nurses, had lost 20-50 lbs and they repeatedly mentioned it to me to try. At first I told them no I will diet and exercise like I have done in the past to shave off that extra 10 lbs. However, went on a cruise and came back and got the idea I would try it for only a month to get me started. The first week I felt pretty awful and lost my appetite almost entirely. I called to ask the docs office why I felt so bad? They said “you will get used to it” in the second week and take a tum or something like that to counter the gastric issue. That did help a lot. So I went ahead and took the second weeks shot, self-administered, and felt worse!!! With 0 appetite, even forcing myself to eat just a little knowing that was unhealthy to not eat at all, but I just could barely get anything down. Bread, sushi, only something very light. I called the docs office again. This time they said, “why don’t you try a half shot”. So I did that and felt a tad better but decided not enough and I was not going to take anymore of the shots. I did loose 7 lbs in 2.5 weeks. Which for my size is substantial. I was 148-149. Went down to 141-142 in 2.5 weeks. When I dieted and exercised in the past my weight loss was more like 8 lbs in 2 months or 1 lb a week, maybe slightly more. Then it took a month after taking Semiglutide to feel back to normal. I had these head sensations. Like something akin to light headedness but not exactly. Really, what I came to believe is I was taking 2 times more than I should have. However, even then, it might have been too much. I don’t know. Overall, I think my low weight to begin with should have warranted starting me out on the 1/2 dose. It really scared me that it took a month to get back to feeling normal again! One other thing, it did change my personality too. Making me more aggressive (but no food couda messed me up that way I suppose)!

Thanks for the info. I may try that if the need arises.
For me + partner, at least, 4 charcoal tabs completely eliminates any heartburn symptoms when they occasionally appear, within seconds.
Hiccups also, though can take minutes.

It almost killed my mum after just 3 weeks use. It’s poison!

How did you get the cholesterol low?
