seeing so many people hop on the Ozempic train without doing any research because it's "trendy" reminded me of people all celebrating which pharma injection they received...

People are so gullible and want a quick fix.

All big pharma drugs, vaccines and mRNA substances carry with them substantial risk of death. They are not natural to the body and are often rejected by the body and that rejection sometimes results in death. You cannot cheat bad habits, bad living, bad choices and bad drugs.

A recent resd suggested there are 250,000 drugs on the market. 5 that work. Either antibiotics or steroids.

I am sure a much higher percentage of drugs do more good than harm, perhaps even 1% :-)

However, I expect the percentage is much lower for drugs targeted at chronic illnesses. Insulin for Type 1 diabetes might be a rare drug (exogenous hormone) that works, though I wonder how much of Type 1 diabetes there would be without the shenanigans of Big Farma and Big Pharma.

The stupid and their lard arses and their hard-earned cash are all soon parted.

Taking any of big pharma’s concoctions puts people at risk of death. That’s part of their business model.

Barry Varkel's avatar

Hi Lucy,

Isn't the impairment of health, rather than dropping dead, part of the business model?

I mean a dead person only made one buy; whereas a chronically ill one is proper annuity income for the scumbags.

An Ominous's avatar

To be even more precise, Big Pharma want

1) everyone to be patients with chronic illnesses

2) those patients to be hooked on daily meds with side effects

3) those patients to be taking additional daily meds to address those side effects.

They rely on Big Farma to produce processed food and fake meats and fake fats to achieve 1. Big Pharma can easily take care of 2 and 3 by themselves.

You set it out perfectly.

Well done and thank you.

Is everyone reading this hypocritical crap?

“While the Australian agency acknowledged that Ozempic was being prescribed “off-label,” they noted the Australian government “does not have the power to regulate the clinical decisions of health professionals and is unable to prevent doctors from using their clinical judgment to prescribe Ozempic for other health conditions.”

UNLESS IT IS IVERMECTIN!!!!

Oh no ..... was reversing the ban on Medicare covering obesity drugs like these (and the potential ginormous profit windfall to the drug manufacturers) part of the back-room deal for the Biden Drug Price Negotiation Program which lowered prices on a few meds ?? (some to soon be off patent anyway. Example: Eliquis to be off patent in 2028, two years after the 2026 date for when the lower prices take effect). Seemed like (I could be wrong), the trade off for the few with lower prices was going to be adding these weight loss drugs (with longer income/profit potential) to Medicare. Too much money at stake here. Obesity in America estimated to reach 47% by 2030. They are going to need to sand-bag these negative studies and reports, a la covid vaccine MO.

Last year the VA prescribed me Rx eye drops to help with my dry eyes.

Received the bottles and when I checked the bottle it said they were manufactured in India.

Thought...hmm...not sure this is such a good idea, and just set them aside and decided not to use them.

Then, several months later, there were news reports of over-the-counter eye drops causing very serious problems - blindness, loss of an eye, and even death. These were over-the-counter drops that were contaminated in the manufacturing process.

Well, just last week, the VA sent me a letter warning me to discontinue the use of the Rx drops sent. The VA stated the drops were contaminated with bacteria in the manufacturing process.

My spidey sense worked.

And here it is .... The pay-off to the drug companies (for the insulin and other few drug price reductions ... Just as Old Joe is exiting.

“Eli Lilly (LLY) and Novo Nordisk (NVO) shares rose Tuesday after the Biden administration proposed expanding coverage of the companies' popular weight-loss drugs in government-backed healthcare plans including Medicare and Medicaid.

She threw up and had diahorhea for 5 months straight and didn't stop taking the medication.

It doesn't prove anything about the safety of the drug.

When people do things that look like an act of desperation I cannot help but have compassion.....I have a nephew who is a millennial and with the world the way it is he has very little hope though he is capable and kind and has many nice characteristics....but his attitude is eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die......very sad......he has a bit of an eating problem....he is not obese but he is big ..... and though I am really upset about his taking this and so are his parents, I try to understand from the person’s perspective....my nephew does his research and knows about Ozempic.....his identical twin who is more grounded refuses to take it.....i think some people just feel desperate....i know that a bandaid does not take care of the cause of any problem I can’t help but feel so badly for many people who have not been able to handle the world today.....basically who can?....i am struggling more than I was before Covid......i think though i can be wrong most are.....

For me _knowledge_ plus a _desire_ to avoid blood pressure meds was enough motivation to fix my diet and lifestyle. I have been pleasantly surprised to experience more than 10 major lasting health benefits in the past couple years. The wonderful thing about using proper diet and lifestyle to address a chronic illness is that the side effects may be just as good or even better than the original goal. That's the complete opposite of Big Pharma snake oil.
