I wonder how this will drive immune escape. If the antibody titers for the Wuhan strain in the population decrease (since people also produce now high levels of BA.1 antibodies) wouldn‘t this dilute the immune pressure in a way? Since now two different pressures (from different antibodies) would be applied. So maybe this is actually good? I am looking forward to hear your opinion on this bivalent vaccine in the next weeks.
It CAN'T be good from the very core of the formulation. Now, I just suspect that it will make new strands of both Omicron variants and our "good old influenza" could mutate in unknown variants to mankind, and/or choose to combine with omicron. What are they thinking????
