So, I believe it was repealed during the Clinton Administration. Parts of this law were being repealed, but this Chapter and Section along with another Section in this Law were Repealed under Clinton, I believe. I can't remember if it was 1984 or 1994. Keep in mind who controlled Congress during these dates.
Anyway, the latter part of this Law, prohibited anyone a card carrying American Communist Party Member, to be a US Citizen. None of us knew Pelosi was involved with the Socialist Party. This came during Obama's terms.
We know that Obama's second term, it was revealed that about 79 Senators were card carrying members. Evidently, there are still members in both sides still.
Repealing this law protected the communists within.
