this! What is the molecular basis for Taurine's (semi-essential amino-acid) potent anti-aging (nascent) role? We do not know yet! But promising! taurine in circulation decreased with age!
The key amino acid is glutathione. You can supplement with NAC..N-acetyl cysteine which is converted to glutatione. There are 1000's of studies over the years that document the importance of glutathione. Medicine man ignores it and prescribes drugs instead. NAC helps the liver eliminate the impact of the spike proteins. Taurine is related to glutathione. Big Pharma would like all these amino acids to be Rx drugs so they control your health for profit.
This may come as a surprise to people but my beloved yorkie died from a lack of taurine. it is something dogs must have. They can get it from eggs and cottage cheese but the grain free dog food I fed her all of her life had ZERO taurine and she died an awful death from heart and lung disease. I now cook my dogs food and I make all of her treats. She gets food rich in taurine in her diet as well as treats of scrambled eggs and cottage cheese at least once per week. I also add cottage cheese and hard boiled eggs to food I cook for her. I make up a months supply and freeze it. Now she weighs only 4 lbs. but no matter how much she weighs I would do the same. It takes me one hour to make, seal up in containers and pop in the freezer. So make sure what you feed your dog has taurine in it. So I am sure taurine is important for humans too.
Don't beat yrself up. Some studies show it's not even the from the grain free dog food ..
My picky 8yr morkie has eaten only organic chicken legs n meats and would never ever touch eggs or cottage cheese as treats ! I guess she is grain free too ..But she gets gizzards and chicken heart and such organ meats have more taurine..
Ah, interesting. I do NOT recommend this to anyone as dogs and cats need supplements WHILE some supplements hurt them; such as vitamin D does not help my little shepherds (Malinois); but they get a small touch of almost everything else that I take.
Karen, sorry to hear about your Yorkie. Been there; the beauty of little house dogs is that they often live longer than Shepherds but on the other hand that long life sticks into memory after they pass. I do same with hard boiled eggs, cooked chicken (zero bones) and small amount of cottage cheese. Takes me same amount of prep time every morning, one hour or so, to set up the little ones and myself. By end of the hour I'm actually awake. :)
My recipe is ground turkey, ground chicken, 4 different raw veggies, apple, cottage cheese, hard boiled egg, guinoa or rice, coconut oil, chicken livers, salmon or tuna. I give her a vitamin each day and an amino supplement. We do not feed her from the table. She loves the food and gobbles it down. So far she is very healthy. No vaccines and we did not spay her. She is never out our sight and when in heat she wears protection 24/7 but like I said she is never off leash and never outside without one of us. I would not do to her what I would not do to myself and I eat good healthy food.....nothing in a package
I have been taking taurine for years because i am vegan and it is not in the foods i eat....I have not found it to do any of the claims here and I am 73....however I have found that it helps my nervous system.....
Interesting as I've recently learned about Taurine needing to be added to a meat diet for animals. After watching a podcast from an 82 year old woman whose been on a carnivore diet her whole life, and still works 14 hour days on her cattle ranch up in Canada I'm thinking how important it is for people as well.
Taurine's been part of my huge supplement intake for years. No idea if it helps anti-aging for one reason: my sister lives 500 miles away, so never see her. We talk so I know she takes a fraction of my supplement list and zero exercise. A few months back she posted current photos. She looked VERY young. Knew right then mostly genetics when it comes to aging. :)
There is still no explanation why, after decades without the designation, that an amino acid needs to be designed as a semi-essential amino acid if it is not essential.
I started taking taurine 1000 mg/day three years ago. There was concern about Covid being a metabolic disease and resulting in accelerated cellular aging, so I started taking that and flush niacin (3000 mg/day). Amongst other things!
I have taken taurine as supplement (3 grams per day in divided doses) since my GABA production had plummeted due to vaccine injury. I have taken it for 15 years without any problems. It makes me feel peaceful and calm. I don’t know how it will affect different people, but to me it is a godsend.

YA KNOW THIS IS A LIFE OR DEATH WAR ON GOOD CITIZENS SO UNITE TO STOP THEM BY ANY MEANS = GOD BLESS AMERICA LAND OF THE FREE
I'm gonna be buyin' me some of that! 😉😊😋
But how much needed is the question .. too much is no good either
I have it already in my magnesium brand but only 60 mg.. I won't add more supplementation just yet.. it's in many foods we can choose from
No sense of humor, huh?
Ah good u were joking! can't tell anymore on these stacks.. everyone is fassstt to buy the latest natural stuff that some study shows..
If we follow all we read we will be popping over 20natural pill$ a day.. and many have interactions too..
So yeah, buyer beware even with "natural" products is all
Does this mean all the Red Bull addicts can justify their vice?
I do take the sugar free stuff; seems neutral for me.
What is the difference between an essential and a semi-essential amino acid?
First para of link has a list of aminos; all are available as supplements.

Interesting. Gotta get some 💖
