The Russell Brand of his youth and even more recently is not the same man anymore, he has completely woken up and speaks out everyday on his very popular podcast, attracting the famous and aware...it's no wonder they are going after him...he has admitted he did lots of drugs and his marriage to that singer, what's her name who looks like a clone now, was a mistake...he has since been happily married and become a father, he is brilliant and highly educated, but because of his appearance and "reputation" an easy target...I believe him...why didn't these anonymous women come forward sooner?
Brand admitted to being promiscuous in his past but said it was always consensual and there were witnesses to collaborate his claims. I believe they just don’t like him challenging their narrative so they are trying to smear his name and credibility. I doubt very seriously the women waited this long to accuse him if it were true.
Ok, let's not apply gender here. Suffice it to say that some people are easily talked into being less than honest in their statements or talked into having selective memory of an event. If someone feels they've been "slighted", they might do/say anything, especially if there's money to be had. And if they are being encouraged along these lines...I can see that happening, easily. I'm assuming Brand is innocent, until proven otherwise. And this long standing American tradition of playing dirty is getting old as Hell. In the seventies, I was a strong advocate of women's rights. By the '90s , I began to sympathize with men against various accusations. I have no sympathy or belief for women who wait one or 2 decades to discover they were raped. We are equal. Why do we need to be protected? Can't have it both ways. Real rape? I'm all in for accountability, but within a reasonable amt of time
I want to know one thing, why now with accusations? Why not before, who paid off the women, check their financials or were they threatened? These all need to be answered, I do not take either side but it sure smells rotten here!

And I used to strongly support “believe all women,” until the hatchet jobs against Supreme Court nominees and all the rest. Plus, Democrats don’t believe the women who have accused Bill Clinton of rape and Joe Biden of inappropriate contact.
Furthermore, if any accusers are found to have exaggerated their claims, or fabricated them, they should be jailed for ten years with no possibility of parole. That would shut down a lot of garbage allegations in a hurry.
