I've been attacked & assaulted in my home England because I view 'covid a hoax' and do NOT support the Ukraine regime which my village has raised funds for.
I lived in Turkiye for 10 years. I have a 25 year relationship with Turks.
I try to avoid commenting, but every now and again succumb. Your comment was worth my energy. '4x2' makes me laugh. I love Cockney Rhymin'. My favourite aunt has been with a 4x2 for 50 years or more. My father's family all look like London 4x2's; we have the snozzle. I am so tired of the endless 'we're victims' syndrome. The extent of man, woman and child slaughter in Palestine today is off the scale.

I've just come back from watching a feature film at the cinema (I live in Cape Town), entitled "Civil War", written and directed by Brit, Alex Garland, about a future USA that has gone the way of proper insurrection. Garland said he was given such a hard time filming it in the USA, he'll never direct again.
The film is very subtle from a storytelling perspective and it won't gel with most audiences who don't want to think or want woke feel good fodder.
That looks a pretty depressing film Barry. I've seen some of the clips before. I haven't been to a cinema for 10 years or more.
I used to do extra/stand-in/bit part work in TV, commercials, films. My last film was 5th Element c.1996. Working in that business gave me a peek behind the curtain. I lost all affection for the film/TV industry. There are exceptions e.g. I will watch My Fair Lady or Chitty Chitty Bang Bang anytime again.
South Africa? There's another history I've come to question over the last 10-15 years.

I swear a lot, on my own! I once heard Paul talk to his brother, a local Jamaican radio station (?) at the height of the covid1984 nonsense. He was so passionate. I so appreciated Paul Alexander during those dystopian days, but Israel is the reason 'we' go to war after war after war. It may be that Israel is merely a useful idiot for my UK establishment. We have a GOO problem in the UK: Government Of Occupation. The Palestinians have been treated appallingly since the Zionist campaign began. I see no option than the reinstatement of a Palestinian state where all creeds abide side by side.
