Is there a way to superimpose the two graphs - cases per pop million in one graph, and deaths in a second. Not that it’s necessary. Outcomes are obvious.
We are all unvaccinated. As far as getting tested goes, we are also uninfected (negative tests). That said, pretty sure Covid is sweeping through our house. The 7 year old went first with a bad headache and really tired. Didn’t get our attention because he’s unilaterally deaf - whenever the mask mandates are in effect he gets vomit inducing migraines. But, the next day our 10 year old got a pretty bad headache, fever, pain behind her eyes, and mental fog. A cold towel and an open window got her on her feet again 36 hours later. Negative at home Covid test.
Then two evenings ago, 6 days later, my husband got the same, but worse. Fever, headache, chills, body ache. High temp (102). Negative Covid and flu tests. We let symptoms guide us. Huge outbreak in our area (like everywhere else). He took ivermectin yesterday morning, some of the vitamin protocol last night (not the full load - he spent yesterday in bed and hardly eating). Took ivermectin again this morning. Some of the vitamins. We’ve been paying attention to supplements since 2020. He’s not “better,” but he’s well enough to be working from home and out of bed. Temp is down. Aches have turned into lower back pain. His eyes aren’t swollen almost shut anymore.
Might he have been just fine without any of it? Absolutely. He’s healthy, but has low vitamin D (it was a 36 in the fall and we increased the daily amount and added K2). He also lost most of his hair in his early 20’s and has inflammatory tendencies.
We are unvaccinated because, despite that, we are at low risk. We are at an even lower risk because we are proactive about treatment. We get advice from doctors, not politicians, and base our choices on how well supported those doctor’s opinions are.
Individually it might mean a small shift, but population wide those small shifts combine to create materially better results.
