Let's see, the Palestinians were a few thousand in 1948. Since Israel was created in 1948 the Palestinians number in the many millions. So how has Israel done any "ethnic cleansing"? If they are "ethnic cleansing". then why do they ask civilians to evacuate, why do they drop warning leaflets? Why do they telephone Gazans and warn them to evacuate? If I had time I could answer your questions. This was planned by Hamas for 2 years with help from Iran and technology to take out a lot of the security.
They were in the middle of “peace” dealings with Gaza, so they thought. They had been letting several hundred more people in as workers in Israel and were trusting these people who were actually bringing information back to Hamas about the villages and IDF posts and schedules and all of it. There is so much information available now to answer all of this.
Did Israeli personnel fail also, yes some did, a couple of people mistook their preparations as the little practice sessions they like to do and didn’t take the warning seriously. They were asleep at the wheel so to speak, in a trusting frame of mind, and also very cocky about the effectiveness of their security technology.
Drones took out much of it, cyber attacks at the same time, and the first group in went right to the IDF barracks and slaughtered most of them, kidnapping a few as well. They were in their cots asleep.
