As I said, the imagery is too powerful to be discounted or ignored. Yes, in Gaza the median age for men and women is 18, with 64% of the population below 24 years of age. The majority of the people live in poverty and are food insecure. Their government, Hamas (Iran proxy terrorists) has done this to them no one else. The military situation is not just challenging, it is impossible. What is the difference if a 15 year old who has been trained and armed to kill, kills you and your family, or if an 18 year old does it. There is no difference, you are still all dead. What is the solution, ask the terrorists to stop using women and children as human shields? Ask them to stop using hospitals as their headquarters? Send in social workers with the military to deprogram the children soldiers? How about just stop killing Jewish people? Somehow the terrorists have to be eliminated with minimum collateral damage to any innocents. No idea if that is possible.
Hamas was created by Israel in order to weaken the PLO by dividing (and, in the minds of the Zionists running Israel, conquering) the Palestinian people. That's who has done this to the people of Gaza... Zionists. And let's be honest. The Zionists also have a history of terrorism aimed at both Palestinians and Jews. They have been willing to sacrifice their fellow Jews if they think it will advance their cause. Knowing this history, I have to wonder who was really behind this attack.

Not that it is of much importance, but I don't think that the usage of "tow the line" will cease even though it is claimed to be incorrect. The image of many people; pulling on the end of a line against either other people; in a tug-of-war contest for example, or people pulling together on a rope to tow something, like a vehicle, for another example, is a very powerful image. It is very ironic, because the very different image and expression 'toe the line' is considered 'correct', with the imagery of 'towing the line' seemingly ignored and deemed incorrect. So, I for one recognize both usages and won't either 'tow the line' or 'toe the line' in obedience to any kind of authoritative norm that only one of these is valid. As I said, the imagery is too powerful to be discounted or ignored. But this is really the point, that we all either 'toed the line' or 'towed the line' through Divoc; did just as we were told rather than using our own judgement and discernment.

Consider the following- This was not an attack to seize and hold territory. It appears from open source reports that the IRGC had a significant input in the planning, training and execution of the Hamas attacks--and likely supplied many of the weapons used.
So if the IRGC has set this up ,they will use the most destructive and powerful weapon at their disposal to effect their ambush -- regardless of the Palestinian casualties -- because their goal is not to foster the Palestinian state ambitions , but to destroy Israel. The Hamas venture is simply the vehicle to get the Israelis sucked into the U shaped ambush ( on a very large scale ) and then demonstrate that the Iranian nuclear program has indeed already produced a usable weapon...buried within the confines of Gaza somewhere that it will require a massive armored column to get at the Hamas hardcore fighters.
