At my age , things like this I’ve never seen before or heard of are happening in our country, someone’s playing with nature

HAARP ? possibly. Or the ocean life is so full of heavy metals, it’s affecting behavior?

Good point

In the Boston area, they’re blaming fishermen for the problems occurring & they’re ignoring the effects of building off shore windmills. It’s all so backwards!

And so sad

Expand full comment

The offshore windmills have been causing problems for whales, from what I've read. It would be hard for me to believe that it's only bothering that one set of ocean life.

Yes the whales , thanks. ( foggy brain) I’m sure it’s affecting everything in the ocean.

But they keep the climate change lies rolling with it

Do not make a conspiracy when there is none. I am in Florida now and though I cannot speak to Florida I lived in NY on Long Island until I was 70 born and raised....Sharks have been at the beaches many many times over the years....on the south shore....yes in NY....I think this article is making a big deal over one incident ....like i said in NY sharks have been plenty over the years....i would be way more concerned about the malaria in Florida....

Pointing to a possible environmental issue is not a “conspiracy.” If there is a significant rise in these incidents statistically then there is elevated risk to be investigated. Your dog can be swallowed by one if these things. Or even your kid. Not that our government actually cares.

Gator incidents are up it seems, but it depends on the numbers. Or is it just the dumb things people do? Could be a set of guidelines is all that is needed. Or legalize and popularize snake and gator steaks. Might be low fat protein, tastes like chicken.

Too many pythons thriving in US swamplands is sloppy import enforcement. A significant risk to the public is no joke. Who are the idiots who released their pet snakes? Anyway an extermination program is called for depending on the damage the program itself might do. If our hearts bleed for pythons maybe there is a deportation option. The Dems have already registered them to vote.

I don’t think the WEF arranged for this.

Rise in incidents = perceptions being twiddled with to make it SEEM like there is a rise where there is none. Recencey (sp) bias in thinking and evaluating RISK. It was reported, I saw it therefor it is happening more than in the past is wrong because, perhaps it wasn't reported in the past? Lastly Sharks naturally migrate across and up the Eastern Seaboard over to Canada/European waters and Mid Atlantic waters... then south for the winter months... https://www.nbcnews.com/science/science-news/yes-lot-great-white-sharks-east-coast-no-not-cause-alarm-rcna8191

Conspiracy? Where have I heard that before? While you may have lived on Long Island for 70 years, the difference is that now sharks are "protected" and people are not. So of course they are ging to get out of control. "It is unlawful for a recreational angler to take or to possess shark species which are not listed in 6 NYCRR Section 40.7(c)(1). These species are referred to as "prohibited" shark species for recreational fishing."

You are wrong…..my entire family and friends are still on LI and no sharks this year or any of the other years (I have been gone) have been spotted…..so get mad…..sounds like you are but the law is not part of the equation right now….there have been no sharks in the last few years or this year….this is overdone….one incident does not make for a huge out of control reaction especially when it is wrong…….

Expand full comment

I'm not sure what you are referring to, but this article I was responding to was about 4 people being attacked in New York off Long Island just this past week. So how can you say none have been there the last few years or been spotted? So just last week isn't one incident, it is 4 in just one week. Maybe you are OK with that, but I think it is silly to protect sharks in swimming areas. They have huge oceans to swim in.

Things that make you go hmmm ! Wonder if this is all planned by the sick diabolical elites too

This time i have to say no.....not with sharks....i will make a general comment to that.

Diversions diversions diversions. The MSM spins anything they want whenever they want.

I’d peg the seeming increase in occurrence of these events on the distraction technique of over-coverage/reporting of things that have always happened but now we hear about them more frequently because everyone’s got a camera phone and a platform. I could be wrong, but you’d have to have stats available for comparison for all these occurrences over prior decades which I’m sure do not exist pre cell phone/social media/report every-little-thing era.

We all share the Earth--when someone thinks they are outside of the realm of nature and should be the only creatures here and the laws of nature don’t apply to them--while the human animal bulldozes over the earth destroying every other creature and habitat in our path...um...hello, reality called and wants you to remember your place.

The moral of the story is: nature rules. Don't mess with nature. It's the same message as behind the disastrous mRNA vaxx operation.

Don't you think the rise in these creatures showing up,becoming more prolific is because of the lawlessness and satanic spirit has risen in this hour. It's allowing these things to be more active.

I hate to spoil the fun...but I grew up on the Long Island Sound in the 70s&80s.

Great White sharks were a thing we feared because although other sharks we had bit more often ,a GW are a step above.

So many sharks. Not new.

I forgot! It wasn't " people " per se, but in the early 80s our family friend had a tourist Bluewater fishing business in the Sound.

He used to warn us about hammerhead, but it was indeed a great white that but the corner off the top edge of one of his boats. It wanted whatever they'd be line fishing and fighting to haul in...

Just another day in the new normal world of the 4th(?) great mass extinction event of this planet. Apex predators got to eat too and apparently we taste like pork! I like pork so who can blame them?

The Anaconda is considered to be the largest snake in the world. VERY big specimens have been known to swallow quite small women. The man allegedly swallowed by a python must have been pretty small, for a man, but then, some undernourished residents of Third World countries stay small in stature.

Or possibly very silly people? And the Sharks are starving because the food chain is collapsing, and so they are going further afield for a) food and b) territory in which to find it? Also, Sharks migrate long long way in the ocean and they do go up along the East Coast and beach areas are full of sources of....Food.

Why go to all that trouble when good old fashioned warfare achieves the same ends. The Thucydides Trap: What Athens (the empire) did abroad it finally brought home.” Out of Chaos, Order its simpler than we imagine. I would venture to guess it is probably innate by this I intuit an “organic organising principle. Probably less Malthusian in its nature and more Hobbesian in its inevitability. Add universal entropy and you get Chaos out of Order. Consider the Orubourus.
