I TOTALLY disagree with your evaluation of Vance’s acceptance speech. I thought it was spectacular. A real human politician. Not a BS box like Joe or Kamala, and even Trump is sometimes robotic in his delivery. JD spoke with heart and left us feeling like he was a person of substance, not a political tool.

excellent, you have your right of opinion...I actually like what the ghost writer put up and hence why I shared it...everyone has an opinion...note the GW supports 45 and the combined ticket...GW is right, there are many good options...thanks for sharing your views, huge hugs

JD Vance is similar to my husband and his colleagues who are all Engineers; very calculated with their thoughts and truthful with their speech. People are not used to that. People’s attention spans run about 20 seconds nowadays and let’s face it, they want to be entertained. It used to be people could watch attentively and be very thoughtful in their interpretation of someone’s intentions for a good 20 minutes. Gone are the good ol’days before Covid brain and boob tube zombies 🧠🤖

We thought he gave a good speech. We also felt he was a little nervous which certainly would be expected.

I fall into the camp of “not a spectacular speech”. It was okay, but just. I want to be enthusiastic but I continue to be troubled on two points: He did compare Trump to Hitler and he has a tight relationship with Peter Thiel.
