Bavarian Nordic Jynneos vaccine fails! If study replicated within randomzied controlled trial, VE will be likely much lower & so this is bad news; focus should be on acute surveillance & NO anal sex!
The interpretation by the CDC researchers is WRONG! This vaccine is not protective!
Bottom line, we know the high risk localized group is men-who-have-sex-with-men (MSM) and this has not changed, and so focus therefore, must be PSAs advising no anal sex if high-risk or symptomatic, no breakage of pustules, no heavy skin to skin contact, and an acute focus on contacts. This never was and still is not a heterosexual low-risk population problem. Limit sexual contacts to one and if possible NONE, until the outbreak is tamped down. Monogamy is always best.
If for this infection and similar sexually transmitted infections, we do not stand up and stop the wokeness and weakness and politics and fail to tell the at-risk group how they should behave, advice that will save their lives, then we will never be able to handle public health situations like this. Such infections will be left to expand into the low-risk general population. Remove the politics and say the right things.

So, the vaccine doesn't work.... show me one DB RCT trial on any vaccine that shows that it works.
Honestly, I have never heard of a RCT for any vaccine... maybe HPV, but the data was not encouraging 1:40 girls developed new onset Chronic auto-immune disease... a death rate that exceeds the chances of dying from cervical cancer.... and even today the latest research can't demonstrate the vaccine even prevents Cervical Cancer.
So, no surprise an RCT for a vaccine failed.... subject any vaccine to a RCT (which has yet to be done for the madated vaccines) and you will find they all fail.
