I believe ALL criminals convicted of pedophilia should get & receive the death penalty within a concise window of their conviction, no more than one year. It certainly eliminates recidivism. The Bible, God’s Holy WORD, endorses it.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Men and women, inside the church as well as outside the church commit these crimes against children. And it’s a spiritual problem that requires a spiritual solution. The moral depravity of our day far exceeds sodom and gomorrha as far as its extent.

Amen sister. You can't exclude the wealthy, elite, politicians, etc. when having a conversation about pedophilia. Why haven't we seen ghislanes black book when she was sentenced for providing minors for sex? And why isn't anyone talking about chase bank's 800 million worth of transactions with epstein? But convid, impeachment, ukraine, ufo's/aliens.

Im sure countless. He's a complete heretic, the false prophet. Besides all of the issues wiyh the catholic church (and others) he was installed there for a purpose. He loves all of the abortion, gay, vaccine stuff and hangs with all of the other world deviants, esp macron. Do a search (not google) on those two together. Enjoy the rabbit hole!

The current Pope is no more heretical than those before him. The Roman Catholic Church’s foundation & traditions are ALL heretical. They reject the Gospel message, that Jesus was fully God & with His virgin birth fully man. He was without sin (the only human being to be so)& gave His life willingly to be ‘the blemish-free Sacrificial Lamb’ (required by a Holy God) dying (in our place) on the Cross. His death was sufficient to open the possibility of our approaching God in Jesus Christ’s name. He was resurrected as His Church (Believers in God’s Word who trust in His work alone for their eternal salvation) Believers will be at the Rapture & then the 2nd Coming of The Lord at the end of the fast-approaching Great Tribulation.

Respectfully, Janet, Catholic doctrine is:

Our Lady is without sin. Immaculately conceived, she was the unique individual born without Original Sin, making her worthy to be the Mother of Christ.

Christ died to Redeem our sins, not to die "in our place."

Mary, the mother of Jesus, was a sinner, just like everyone born since Adam & Eve. She acknowledged that fact in her conversation with her relative, Elizabeth (mother of John the Baptist), sharing her encounter with the Angel Gabriel. She said, “My soul magnifies The Lord, & my spirit has rejoiced in God, MY SAVIOR. Read Luke 1:26-56.

Mary was NOT immaculately conceived. The Angel Gabriel told her she was to be the mother of the coming Savior because she found favor with God. She was not taken to heaven as Jesus was. These teachings are unBiblical. They hold her as equal to Jesus Christ & encourage prayer to her! God does not hear prayers directed to Mary. In the Bible, Jesus clarifies: “I am The Way, The Truth & The Life, No One comes to the Father except through Me.”

You, madam, are entirely ignorant of the teachings of the Church. On what basis do you make your claim that the Catholic Church rejects the “gospel message”? The gospel is read aloud each Sunday. Christ instituted the Catholic Church. That you don’t like that fact does nothing to negate its veracity. Your personal interpretation of the gospel has led you astray. “On that day, many will say Lord, Lord, and I will say depart from me, I know you not”.

Constantine (a pagan) instituted the catholic "church." And it's on Sunday because they already worshipped the sun. Idols and gods were renamed to Saints.

Protestant reformation could also be called Martin Luther, a Catholic priest, having a tantrum during and following many Catholics were killed and churches stolen and decimated due to his interpretations. And what of the 1500 years before it? Jesus himself never preached sola scriptura (a Bible compiled by the Magesterium of the Catholic Church). And as to our Blessed Mother, the angel sent by God proclaimed her blessed as did the mother of John the Baptist - the forerunner, most important prophet and bridge between old and New Testament. Even your beloved Martin Luther believed she should hold a place of honor. I could refute all the rest of your arguments if I felt you would actually listen but it appears you may have many unresolved feelings of animosity toward the Catholic Church. I ask only that you find an accurate history of Martin Luther, John Calvin, et al... even read Martin Luther’s own writings - you will find a very conflicted man. I will never deny the Catholic Church has her problems but that is because Christ who was made head over the church by the Eternal Father appointed a visible head who is to preserve the teachings of Christ, the invisible ruler, who is human with free will. Man is sinful and even he who sits on the chair of St Peter errs - as Peter himself did. Human behavior will never change the church as she will always be made up of sinners and saints - those who use their free will to help further God’s kingdom and those who use it to further their own will, tragically many popes and clergy and even Martin Luther himself fall into this category.

Read up on the RCC’s Inquisition. It pales the example you offer of Catholic repercussions once the Bible was printed & read by the common man.

Expand full comment

The Apostle Peter did not institute the RCC, he never traveled to Rome & the RCC did not emerge until 300 years after Christ’s death on the Cross & His Resurrection from the dead. Martin Luther read his Bible & had the revelation from that that one is saved by faith alone, not by the works of man. Ephesians 2:8-10, John 3:1-20, Romans 3, 4 & 5.

Martin Luther opened the gates to release captives from the hold of the RCC. He was indeed a flawed man. He was antisemitic, which to a Believer is an oxymoron. Without the Jewish people, none of us would know Salvation through The Lord Jesus Christ.

The Pope does not preserve the teachings of Christ, reading the Bible & comparing it to the Catechism of the RCC makes my statement a fact.

You may want to reconsider your use of the word "fact" when discussing your statements. It appears you have a lot of information which you believe to be true, yet there is much more historical information available that would disprove your "facts". A substack comments section is not the best place for a philosophical discussion, but I would be remiss if I did not ask you to look at the following passages from the Bible (which while it was indeed written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, was compiled and saved by the One, Holy, Catholic and yes Apostolic - Peter did make it to Rome - read Roman historian Tacitus or the letters of St. Clement of Rome to name a few sources). The passages will help shed some light on your "faith alone" (while I am only giving you a few, there are many more you can find). Most importantly are the words of Our Lord himself in the gospel of Matthew - please read Matthew 12:36-37 and 25:31-46 - the sheep and the goats were separated by what they did. If you need further reading try Galatians 6:7-9, Romans 2:6-7 and of course James 2:24. In addition, Martin Luther was a Catholic who knew the Church was Apostolic yet he did not like how human he believed it had become, the irony of his solution, was that he made a "church" that was far more human- very strange how the devil can work in our minds. We haven’t taken care of protecting our young, prosecuting the Offenders, ridding our Legal and Law Enforcement fields of Sexual Predators or laying strict penalties for religions that protect the Offenders while silencing the Victims.
