I’ve given Trump so much latitude, but I can’t muster up any more excuses. He could have fixed this long before it got out of hand, but be didn’t. His first mistake was tasking the moron, Pence, to cobble together a “ Pandemic Team”. The stupidity is mind boggling. There were so many brilliant, qualified, readily available experts to choose from. So many who were very well versed in Fauci’s history of corruption, failure, cover ups and the swath of death and misery he’d accrued over decades. Pence is a tunnel visioned swamp dwelling one dimensional ideologue and cannot separate his personal religiosity from his role as a servant of the American people.
I don’t want to lay the blame on Pence because ultimately, it was Trump’s job to make wise decisions. Had he done so from the onset , his presidency would bave been less riddled with chaos.

Trump should not have bowed to partisan pressure within positions requiring independent, pragmatic neutrality able to ward off partisan attacks. He should have chosen a female HHS leader who portrayed complete competence, non-ideological on social issues and strength combined with empathy. Nan Hayward would have been a good fit. As per Faustus, Hahn, Redfield, Birx , Grady, Bright…. Alexander, Atlas, Risch, Ionnides, Malone, Battacharaya, McCollough, Kuldorff, Levitt,.. Yeadon would have been a good choice for FDA. Simone Gold , Makary, Ladapo…. He’d have an array of highly credentialed, respected and diverse professionals in all fields of medicine and research. Trump instead, made an awful situation worse and his own clumsiness only fed the already insatiable vipers more garbage to spin.
