IMO impeachment is a waste of energy anyway because there's probably a near zero chance for removal with Dems controlling the Senate. If accomplished, the replacement won't be better. With a small majority in the House only, GOPers cannot accomplish much unless they're willing to wield their power of the purse strings.

It’s impossible if the fight is hinged on spineless creature like McCarthy. Haven’t we seen enough damage directly brought by McCarthy and McConnell in the Congress and during the midterm elections of 2022? It’s not due to differences in ideas, but their animosity toward Republican patriots.
In each chamber of Congress, elected officials are supposed to represent their constituents and have equal say. In reality, the vast majority are party puppets. All the power is concentrated in one or a few. Those with more seniority have much more influence than those with less.
MTG is an alpha with almost no seniority. Good people in the GOP and Dem bases won't come off the sidelines en masse to force fair elections to clean out that branch and more. So, she's stuck with what exists.
Pretty quickly, this woman realized if McCarthy wasn't elected, they'll end up with a much worse Speaker when some GOPers break ranks to join the Dems in selecting that person. The former will never vote for anyone supporting an America first ideology. Like the holdouts, MTG used this situation to negotiate a gain of power. Who knows maybe the entire Freedom Caucus organized and decided which parts each would play. Before this, they've accomplished very little to nothing since being formed.
Progressives watched this battle in awe. They love when someone takes on the establishment uniparty. Many are angrier now at their politicians for not using similar tactics on issues important to them.
I credit MTG and the rest of the House of Representatives PATRIOTS ncluding Lauren Boebert and Matt Gaetz with winning critically important rules changes that were approved by vote of the House. Too many people, including commenters here, are forgetting you have to work WITHIN the corrupt system to change it for the better.
At the end of whole struggle, Greene can be worse than Pelosi in a way similar to someone like Bill Barr. Because she takes the trust of patriots and betrays the cause of saving America. She could be in a position that can bring much bigger damage just like Barr the traitor pig.
Sometimes I like to imagine how insane the 3-5% of mostly wealthy, landed colonists sounded as they drafted plan to wage war upon the greatest maritime power Europe has ever known. How insane did the farmers, blacksmiths, and small merchants think the men who signed the Deceleration of Independence were, while still joining them, and in many cases laying down their lives to avoid far lesser usurpation than we face today?
I appreciate we may well all be 3-4 z-scores above the intellectual norm here, and such cerebral horsepower often makes us seek logical, non-violent means. But, we do not oppose similar people. Those in command, have bred an Orc Army. While suppressing our numbers, they bred them in droves, and then imported them. 75%, men of fighting age. Low IQ, low culture, and easily angered.
First the Orcs (pawns), then we get the rooks. Kings and Queens have little protection then.
Alas, no matter how solid young Republicans begin, the threats, corruption, brownstone ops (blackmail) and the rigors of the job ultimately assimilate them. MTG submitted an impeachment resolution on 21 Jan 2021. Only one person was willing to co-sponsor this. It never left committee.
