returned to the field of play without an implantable cardio defibrillator. Returning to competitive sports with a surgically implanted ICD, able to shock the heart ...has been very rare"
Has he been sidelined because he declined to take the new booster? He'll give in when they offer enough money. He could have a casket made of pure gold, maybe encrusted with precious gems. Who wouldn't take the new booster for that sort of coin? Well not me.
Dr. P., I do not watch sports ball. Gave it up decades ago, as Sundays with my friends in Texas wasn't quite as cerebral or healthy as I demand. While they watched 8 hours of sub 70 IQ entitled brats running around on a field some jewish owner had tricked the local taxpayers in to building via municipal bonds, I read about the actual great deeds of my own ancestors.
A bit off topic, but I am up early and listening to the final chords of a great speech, delivered by a young man whom I respect. And, respect is the greatest honor one man may give another. I hope his words will resonate with many of you. This truly is the greatest time to be alive, as it offers great challenge. Good and evil have never, ever been so clearly defined.
I can't see him returning to the field until he's had the new booster. That should protect him. Or if it doesn't protect him it should protect the punters with bets on him dropping dead. Look for punters in the crowd with megaphones hurling insults at him. They'll be wanting to get the adrenaline and cortisol going, just in case the exertion alone on the field doesn't do the trick. If he does drop dead then his fans can take comfort in knowing that his death would have been much worse if he wasn't boosted. What sort of odds are the bookmakers offering? What pays best? He drops dead straight after genuflecting and taking the knee to BLM? Or he drops dead mid-match?
As usual, the "expert" doctors are clueless and baffled. It must be a course they teach in medical school because most doctors claim they are experts at being baffled.

So... this means that he does indeed have a defibrillator now? I would think if he does he would forever more have to have this implant?

He will never play again.
They will put him on a leash and run him out before every game.
