Where I’m from that is called a bribe! “Here’s 255 million euros for you to keep your people in your country and out of mine!!!” That is what this is basically saying!!!

Expand full comment

I suspect it may not be a bribe but rather an extortion payment.

That is EXACTLY what I think, ANW.

And it apparently continues to be the "White Man's Burden" to coddle them, whether here or in Africa, from cradle to grave.

The 255 million euros will disappear faster than Lindsay Graham at a heterosexuals. It will be used to send jihadis to training camp and then to MexIco to the southern border.

I fully agree.

Meloni, Rutter, and the EU must think the rest of us are fools to believe they crafted a meaningful or enforceable agreement with the dishonest Tunisian govt.

Danegeld " But we've proved it again and again,

That if once you have paid him the Dane-geld

You never get rid of the Dane."

Dane-Geld

Rudyard Kipling

1865 (Mumbai) – 1936 (London)

War

A.D. 980-1016

It is always a temptation to an armed and agile nation

To call upon a neighbour and to say:--

"We invaded you last night--we are quite prepared to fight,

Unless you pay us cash to go away."

And that is called asking for Dane-geld,

And the people who ask it explain

That you've only to pay 'em the Dane-geld

And then you'll get rid of the Dane!

It is always a temptation for a rich and lazy nation,

To puff and look important and to say:--

"Though we know we should defeat you, we have not the

time to meet you.

We will therefore pay you cash to go away."

And that is called paying the Dane-geld;

But we've proved it again and again,

That if once you have paid him the Dane-geld

You never get rid of the Dane.

It is wrong to put temptation in the path of any nation,

For fear they should succumb and go astray;

So when you are requested to pay up or be molested,

You will find it better policy to say:--

"We never pay any-one Dane-geld,

No matter how trifling the cost;

For the end of that game is oppression and shame,

And the nation that plays it is lost!"

Rutte and Ursula are both masons. They were the ones who started the deal. Nothing good will come out of it: Tunisia will cash 300 million and nothing will change.

Meloni is a socialist/globalist installed to do what she will be told.

Expand full comment

That’s interesting. When’s the next payment.

Expand full comment

So instead of being thoughtful, Meloni is pencive?

Expand full comment

An O: Since you seem to be deliberate in you choice of words, I wonder if you're coining a new one here: "pencive'" - perhaps to mean "in the manner of Mike Pence"?

Indeed, I cannot resist the temptation of making puns inside sentences that also have a point.

Perhaps I shouldn’t, since a lot of people get confused or assume I lack a spell checker.
