"MIT hosts COVID-19 policy debate Will other schools follow?"; Dr. Vinay Prasad talks at MIT & I like this stack & what it represents, he is opening up the 'sensible' debate; we do not always agree
but he has evolved and adjusted as have many of us; and Vinay has remained 'balanced', willing to defend his position with facts and data, epidemiology, and it is always a learning.
The most contentious part of the debate was MIT’s own COVID-19 vaccination mandate, and I think the students appreciated hearing both sides.
Meh, this is a case where one side are mass-murdering/harming the students listening to the 'debate', and the other side are trying to stop them. I doubt appreciation will be the first thing that comes into the students' minds when the penny drops.
How the heck can undergraduate students who largely have not held down a job or paid for their healthcare have a valid position on Covid-19 policy? Dr. Prasad is a professor, so of course he plays up the intellectual capacity of young people. He is a cancer researcher sucking the hind teat of pharma, and NIH.
Did I say put duct tape on their mouths or masks on their faces? I said we should not depend upon people with little to no experience in taking care of their health or paying for their own healthcare insurance to have valid opinions that are important in making policies. After all, they want FREE tuition. How dumb is that!?!

We need debates!! Cautiously optimistic bc the big money has everything to lose. Since colleges went with mandatory vaxxes.
We should deffinatly hear both sides. The damage done needs be agnowlaged. WE GET NO SAY.
