I stand by my characterization of bleeding heart leftists, having exempted you from that group--and double down that Hamas was counting on them to act as they have been acting.
I take no position on whether or not Israel had advance notice and set up their response so that it would be worse than if they had responded immediately, as I have no way of knowing if that was the case, similar to how FDR managed Pearl Harbor, if that was the case. Does that mean that we shouldn't have taken the Japanese to the cleaners? No I don't think that follows. Japan has been a model citizen since WWII (except for outcompeting us in autos etc., but I put a lot of the blame for that on the UAW and US auto companies' management.
What would you have the Israeli government do in this situation? Taking the WWII analogy there was a lot of collateral damage in the Allied/US Pacific WWII Campaign. War is hell. What's new?
