At this point of the insane drama that has become human existence in the 21st century, I reckon that quite a few people would be pulling for the asteroid. A Great Reset by God, not Klaus.

Asteroid or a nuke.

Does NASA know what pronouns the asteroid uses?

Or what gender it is?

They don't care since they didn't build anything used in the mission.

NASA has always relied on private contractors to build all of their mission-critical equipment.

Prob What will happen is that this experiment will actually change the course of the astroid so that it will actually hit the earth and kill everyone because after all NASA is another government agency just like the CDC

Don't worry, they tested it with 8 mice. It's completely safe and effective.

The blatant absurdity of it. Saving humanity from a asteroid attack with a probability of 1 in 10 million verses murdering 100's of millions using medical terrorism and drugs. What the heck, it's only a game of numbers.

I feel like this is planned out as a future, upcoming horror to scare the sheep into more compliance. I believe nothing they say and if anything, would believe the opposite is true.

What could go wrong🤷‍♂️?

I have developed so much confidence over the past few years in government bureaucracies that it wouldn’t surprise me if the rock exploded into millions of pieces and hit the earth like a machine gun.

Supposedly it’s going to be broadcasted live on YouTube

What a joke. In an SF movie this is real. In reality one doubts Never A Straight Answer can do more than PR.

The minimum change of 73 seconds in what will be considered a success?

The asteroid thing is such a waste of time. The magnetic field of Earth is rapidly declining. We may well see the magnetic reverse in our lifetime, it’s a cyclical event and we are due. The catastrophe of such an event would be biblical and unimaginable to most people.

Expand full comment

It isn't the magnetic field we should worry about, but the collapse of the Van Allen belts, where death dealing radiation is stopped from exterminating all life on the planet.

Just imagine the egg on their faces if they miscalculated the impact angle (or the steering goes bad before impact) and they accidentally knock it into a decaying earth intercept orbit

Only enlightened science as embraced by western culture will be able to save mankind and enable it to spread into space and outlive earth: just one more facet of the anti-humanism of anti-western wokeness!

Hurricane Ian might be getting in the way of this plan...

It is part of the plan, given that they can "forecast" where it is going before it is even a hurricane and way out in the Atlantic.

I hope it does
