My own bank keeps trying to prohibit on-line access to customers' accounts unless we agree NOT to receive montly statements.
I have concerns that, if all we have to prove the balances in our accounts is electronic and on-line, what's preventing banks from falsely claiming yet another "data breach" and keeping our money or "redistributing" it as the government recommends.
The same thing will happen in the US. Mentioning Nigel Farage in the same breath as Boris Johnson is disgusting. Johnson is a radical tree hugging, climate change believing far left communist nutjob.
Barclay closed a Christian account using homosexual pressure for the illogical reason. If I recall, settled out of court for small amount, less than 30k; my read is that Barclay, UK bank, in this country, was testing. And that does cause a problem for us everyday people that live paycheck to paycheck.

more likely, copied Ukraine's model for use against Canuck protesters, vax dissidents, & other undesirables.
