I have been a fan of Novak for a long while when he stood his ground I liked him even more! High level athletes are so careful with what they put into their bodies I am surprised more didn’t want to know exactly what was in the shots. Also nice to see money fame and ppls opinion are not his god
There are not enough superlatives to describe Novak Djokovic's strength of character and self-respect. He was an inspiration during very frightening times. He never allowed himself to be bullied by ignorant bureaucrats.
If not for the Mandates, Djokovic may have won 2 more Majors and 1 less for Nadal.
He could be up 25 - 21 right now.
Djokovic could be calling out the bad politics around Covid-19, but he chooses to keep quiet.
What pisses me off is that members of the media, discussing Novak's decision, as "he had choices". It was his choice that to take the vaccine. That is they blame him, not the mandates.
as a tennis fan, my admiration for federer and nadal was immense. following the sampras/agassi era, federer and nadal defined men’s tennis and i was hooked.

after what my former hero (Rafael Nadal) said about novak “having a choice and understanding the consequences” in 2022 … where djokovic was blocked from taking part in the australian and us opens … a year when nadal won both the australian and french opens to reach 22 grand-slam wins and take the all-time lead by hindering his main opponent (not nadal’s choice, but nadal implied that novak’s decision NOT to take the covid vaccines(s) meant he was RIGHTFULLY EXCLUDED from taking part in grand slams and other tennis tournaments) through illegal/criminal vaccine mandates which ignored natural immunity AND vaccines’ failure to prevent infection or transmission … i realized that my mentor had no ability to question the narrative

That's the real greatness of his decision. He has earned the respect that the CDC and FDA will never get or deserve in a million years, like you say. One point might be that is was easier for him because he has the resources to say no. Without a job (tennis) he still has the funds to live well, I have no doubt. For the average person, they are to likely be under much more financial strain when making that kind of decision.
Novak was already at the top. Now, if he is indeed the last non-mRNA injected player at the world class level, it seems unlikely that his achievements will be surpassed for generations, if ever. Huge respect.
