They let not that fit. I was friends with a doc that did pilot physicals. Many pilots are alcoholics. My neighbor is a Continental pilot now retired. Very heavy dude. Being a pilot ain’t as glamorous as one thinks. It’s really a glorified bus/truck driver. Lots of inactivity. Odd hours. Unhealthy food. Stress. And downtime away from home usually in hotel bars. Not a great life really.
