Sadly, the recent train collision and derailment in Greece has shown us different ways of responding. The Greek transport minister, Kostas Karamanlis, submitted his resignation, saying it was “the least he could do to honour the memory of the victims”, and lamenting the state’s “long-standing failures” ([reported in The Guardian]. In Ohio, our own government was slow to show up and slower to act. Finally, the EPA has set up shop in East Palestine, and the US Congress is now considering a proposed law to prevent similar disasters.
Not discounting loss of life and property, the toxic nature of the spilled materials will be with us for a long time. I still think the entire East coast is at risk.
As for the state's long-standing failures, we have only to look to Turkey for the disaster of the recent earthquakes. What can the population do when the state refuses to act?
Never let a crisis................ Is there a possibility that the criminal conspirators will use this to continue to cull the herd? After all there is that 500,000,000 population limit to be attained.

remove the fuel source etc...
if they don't have that type of equipment to minimize that type of accident now... they need to get together and build some that can be transported in a moments notice and get there in say 5 hours.
they have cranes that can lift tanks like that up.... if there are no attachment points in the tanks, impose a rule that some have to be installed.
