I want to listen to the entire interview to ensure no words were cut out...does he not know that in the vaccine trials there were deaths in the intervention arm? Actual deaths...what about VAERS death
Makes perfect sense if you consider he's making money every time he makes an absurd claim like this. He CLEARLY has no intentions to hold Fauci, nor the manufacturers, accountable. We need someone who will initiate criminal investigations on the entire ordeal.
I also was a supporter of Trump (I live in Australia) I was suspicious when he was in power with all the “ warp speed “ nonsense, and was wondering where are getting your advice, and are you incapable of doing a bit of your own research!!??
His first big mistake was in not firing Fauci and Birx. He, I am sure thought “ operation warp speed “ would get him re elected, that was very naive of him. Trump can not have been ignorant of Fauci’s murderous campaign during the aids crisis, and if he didn’t know why was he told, did no one tell him ??
Where Trump was successful was in stuff he was very knowledgeable on
The deep state was way more powerful than one outsider, you must admit. Esp. so compromised as Trump. He has let some fresh air into the room, but failed to bring in the fresh wave, falling back onto the family and old connections. Even Steve Bannon had been thrown overboard. So he's got what he has sown, at the end.
I think putting pressure on Trump will only be part of the solution and I think it is really important to work with his psychology. He is narcissistic, likes to see green and has great difficulty (more than most) accepting personal failures. So okay, what can we do with his thinking style? Well, what we seem to be doing right now is trying to make him admit a monumental failure on his part as a precondition of coming onside. Is that really going to work? Don't we have better options? Now I don't think we should let up the pressure on him but how about these suggestions?
Personal phone call:
1) "Mr Trump, you did great in getting the vaccines out there so fast but Biden dropped the ball massively. It would be normal to expect an early safety signal under those circumstances and they did nothing. If you were still in charge, I know you would have finished the job. Why don't you finish it for him and make him look terrible?"
2) "Mr Trump, at the moment, the vast majority have had a good vaccine takeup but things are so bad right now, it looks like they snuck in death batches and Biden is setting you up for the fall. Are you going to allow them to deliberately make these products bad and destroy you with it?"
It is unsettling one should need to spoonfeed Trump and I think there's a lot to be said that just as much as we want him to admit his mistakes, we also need to admit our mistakes in our assessment of him. We need to work with how he thinks. It's awkward but the chips are down and I recommend we try reframing it for him.
When facts slap you in the face you should give up your hero worship. He is no different from the any of oligarchs who seek to control the populace. I enjoy reading about the studies you break down, explaining the science, but when you veer out of your lane into politics, I feel you lose a bit of credibility.
Agree. Dr. Alexander is always spot on with his other posts, and I greatly admire him. But his skewed view that Trump did "magnificent things" for the country & world, and surprise at Trump's recent misleading statement which is actually totally in line with his past behavior and character.
Trump is all part of the roll out . It’s not difficult to see either . The moment he was playing stupid , like Bush did , I was worried when he started from the get go looking to align with vaccine hesitancy . Right away I saw where that was going . Trump was playing the part and then playing the spotlight . By associating as vaccine hesitant he was de legitimizing valid medical scientific concerns . His moves toward populist isolationism was pre emotive and suggest an insight into the firth coming crisis . He is also the only president to not have a war , which also suggests some insight into making resources available for domestic issues . The admin played a key hand in diverting attention toward divisive measures . And most importantly he mobilized a narrative news cycle that could not move fast enough to verify facts . Gave the system the power of fake news , and power to control and censor . The divisive nature empowered and emboldened the woke thing . Trump entirely set the table .
Finally , by making statements about treatments for covid his use of persona eliminated the threat treatments had on the mrna pandemic response .
Well, the man certainly isn’t perfect. He has really lost me on the vaccine issue, except for one thing: he still isn’t advocating for forced vaccination. He never has, and I appreciate that.
"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth". Trump is being Trump, don't expect great wisdom or virtue from such a material man craving golden toilet seats.

To some extent Trump is part of the swamp

absolutely!
Forget Trump. He is compromised. They would not hesitate to murder his children, grandchildren...whatever it takes to terrorize.

Trump a key scoundrel in this affair .

A huge amount of money is to be had in promoting the koolaid
