My most recent reply was a paraphrase of the intent of my original post of April 27th, an opinion reply in response to President Trump’s opinion - that he is entitled to & therefore seemingly unfairly treated by the RNC, per his statement, as he was not contacted by them in order to plan the primary debates, again to paraphrase his own words.
I do not work for the RNC, so I have no inside knowledge of anything they said or plans made with any other candidate’s campaign. It would be supposition on my part to comment on how the debates have already been planned. How could I factually know what is happening behind the scenes. One can assume, yes, but I was not commenting on the planning that has occurred, I commented on President Trump’s response to it.
All this said again, I can comment on President Trump’s statement. So, I did.
By threatening to take his ball & go home, not participate in debates with other GOP candidates because he wasn’t consulted with prior to any RNC debate plans being put into motion, scheduled, etc., IMHO, he renders himself no more accountable to all of the voters, i.e. We the People, than President Biden’s campaign, who also clearly does not want to appear on a debate stage and be accountable to his voting block, for his own reasons.

There are always people that will support them, just not enough to matter. JFK Jr. will certainly amass a sizable following, however the results will look the same as they did for Ron Paul in the primaries and never exceed 10-13% margin.

To the contrary, I’ve paid very close attention, having watched every RNC & DNC debate held since 2000. Having an informed electorate is IMHO as important as having informed candidates who can also articulate their reasonings, opinions, and stances on subjects that will personally impact the electorate. That’s why all candidates should be able to debate one another, as they should also have the courage & fortitude to want to face their opponents, the tough questions, in order for the best ideas to be put forth.
Re: RFK Jr, the DNC knows Biden would be dismantled on a debate stage with him, just like Tulsi did to Kamala. So they’ll paint RFK Jr as unworthy of being Biden’s opponent, thus, no need to debate.
Hope Trump decides he’ll debate, showing the world he’s once again ready to face everyone & everything in order to represent We the People.
My most recent reply was a paraphrase of the intent of my original post of April 27th, an opinion reply in response to President Trump’s opinion - that he is entitled to & therefore seemingly unfairly treated by the RNC, per his statement, as he was not contacted by them in order to plan the primary debates, again to paraphrase his own words.
I do not work for the RNC, so I have no inside knowledge of anything they said or plans made with any other candidate’s campaign. It would be supposition on my part to comment on how the debates have already been planned. How could I factually know what is happening behind the scenes. One can assume, yes, but I was not commenting on the planning that has occurred, I commented on President Trump’s response to it.
All this said again, I can comment on President Trump’s statement. So, I did.
By threatening to take his ball & go home, not participate in debates with other GOP candidates because he wasn’t consulted with prior to any RNC debate plans being put into motion, scheduled, etc., IMHO, he renders himself no more accountable to all of the voters, i.e. We the People, than President Biden’s campaign, who also clearly does not want to appear on a debate stage and be accountable to his voting block, for his own reasons.
I appreciate your position on who is and who is not a RINO, their motivations, etc.
Without being omniscient, posting my opinion to Trump’s statement, as prompted by the subject of Dr. Alexander’s post yesterday, seemed exactly what the post was open & intended to do: discuss & debate President Trump’s remarks.

Again, if you called those FAIR and BALANCED debates between Trump and Byedumdum before the last election....I'd have to say you weren't paying very close attention at all. I've been paying close attention since the 1980's, and they've been biased throughout with talking heads trying to correct anything misstated by the preferred candidates after words telling us then meant this instead of what they actually said. To me it doesn't matter who they are including Trump (who I know when he says something he means what he said), what they say is what they meant regardless of any attempts to convince us otherwise.
If that's the kind of debates you believe in then what would you expect in an RFK Jr and Byedumdum debate?

Neither a Dem or GOP candidate, whether in front runner status or not, should be enabled to influence the construct of a debate for all in their respective party. My original comment was a rebuttal opinion to President Trump’s statement regarding the influence he clearly stated he is entitled to have because of his polling numbers. I also take him at his word, since he said what he said. 🤷🏼♀️

This implies you believe the debates and questions asked of the candidates will be equal, fair, and balanced so as to inform and benefit we the people. Which is the point of my replies, they weren't in the last election, and actually never have been, nor will the ever be under the current formats.
Trump should have been consulted before setting up any debates, and I'm sure all the other RINO's involved handlers were and are behind the phony debates being planned to work against him. It's pretty obvious.
I personally think the past debates have been rigged way too much and think if debates are to be done, I would much rather see people with their own podcast news, like Rogan and maybe now Tucker Carlson and similar such people from the liberal podcast side to hold the informal debates and ask the questions! I think the candidates, including President Trump would be more interested in participating in those debates and the people would be more interested in seeing those debates! No more mainstream media types asking the questions or running the debates. Plus the viewers could submit questions they would like answered to the podcast hosts. Just my opinion. Not many people trust mainstream media anymore because we can all see the games they play and they are totally unfair!
Plenty of real journalists here on Substack would serve the public far better than the msm any day.
A Tohnhall type forum with audience questions & only a host to keep it organized would be great. All the candidates in attendance & the audience in as much control of it as possible.

However in that type of format the audience may be allowed more questions, but I think they'd be asked to be submitted before the debates and then asked by the chosen hosts. I'd say the likes of Matt Taibbi and Emerald Robinson for a start, but their are plenty more better qualified than the MSM propagandists.
