Immune cells ( tcells) inspect bits of protein expressed on the surface of cells (hla receptors). If they detect something fishy they destroy the cell. This is normal. But transfections do not prevent infection against Sars COV 2 for other reasons.

2) Are genetically modified humans still legally human in terms of having rights? Never been tried in a court of law that I know of.

I think most big pharma products are designed too screw up the body to some extent and cause the need for even more big pharma products.
