Yes it is. I have an ex girlfriend in the south of France. She contacted me out if the blue after we'd lost contact to plead with me not to take the jab. It was really hard there before the presidential elections but has loosened up. There is a really big anti-vax movement especially in the south. Micron is despised.
I think there were some Blue states here that responded the same way on the beaches, but don't believe they succeeded in preventing anyone from getting groceries, but many tried to shame those not wearing masks. They certainly wanted to force the passports on us, and still will if they can figure out a way.

In Italy we weren't allowed in many places without the Super Green Pass. But we WERE allowed in supermarkets and pharmacies. It was awful and I still get anxiety now.
