All part of the massive covid 'money laundering' scheme.

I have a musician mate in South Africa. He is very well known and came up through the ranks of the anti-apartheid struggle. He was the very last person in line to receive any covid relief. He paid his band members a per-diem out of his own pocket during lockdown just so they could eat and feed their families.

There were many people who abused the system. A client of mine got a lockdown business benefit for his employees called "TERS", pocketed the cash (about USD 20,000) and buggered off overseas back to his family in Tel-Aviv and has never returned.

Other clients in the commercial property industry went bust because their tenants cited the legal defence of "covid inability to pay" - some being legitimate, but most just climbing on the free-for-all bandwagon to evade payment of their debts, all the while still trading from the premises.

We are in court now, some three years, later with the last of such lawsuits where the tenant ripped off my client for USD 40,000-00.

These are huge amounts of cash in South African money.

Out of everything I witnessed during lockdown, many people with resources and wealth abused the system. The man in street went broke, had his small business decimated, his family ripped apart, succumbed to domestic violence, drug abuse, alcoholism and some even suicide.

High-end corporate employees and government employees had permanent vacations "working remotely from home".

People in the illicit cigarette and alcohol (both were banned during the SA hard lockdown) trafficking made cash hand over fist.

I think one has to blame certain personality types rather than groups of people.

I know certain wealthy people and clients who helped others, and many who didn't and bemoaned the loss of custom.

As I always say, it's what goes through your mind, when you go to bed at night, and your head is on the pillow and you're alone with your thoughts. Some people feel nothing and that's just the way it is. They are psychopaths in my view.

Happy Sunday to all.

Because my background is a bit different, I'll just throw my ideas into the ring. My Father's great uncle fought in the Civil War for the north. The family was educated for that time, with good jobs. My mother was an immigrant/refugee of WWI, minimal education. I wore second and 3rd hand downs from cousins on her side. My Father helped everyone. After WWII, the job market was poor as the country went back to 'normal' Many ex servicemen slept in our house, were fed and sent on their way in trying to , jobs. She was not happy about it. Go figure. I was the outlier (not catholic) - catholic immigrant mother. educated in their schools, and an outlier at home. A WASP community with an immigrant mother, not from the UK - gasp. Lesson learned - do your thing. You can't change others. The only person she ever cared for was herself.

Hi Teri,

Nice to hear from you.

Some people are like that.

Still, she was your mom.

Did she perhaps care for your dad?

Look after yourself.

Best

Hey Barry,

Depends on how one defines caring for others. She was an excellent chef/baker and housekeeper. I'd have to leave it at that. My father was my 'teacher'. In my generation, many women went to college to get the mrs degree. Because of him, I did more than most people can dream of. My aim was to see the world, and I did it. Found that I was allergic to marriage and staying 'stuck' in 1 place. Have a good one.

Hi Teri,

Happy Tuesday : ))

You have such a wonderful disposition.

My mom was a home-maker and my dad the breadwinner.

I have three brothers.

Neither of my parents were the most demonstrative when it came to affection, neither between themselves, nor with us.

My dad screamed a lot at my mom when I was a young boy, but he never as much as raised even a single finger to her.

They did their well best, and I take my hat off to them in raising four boys. We never missed a meal and we always had a shirt on our backs.

The best thing my dad ever did for me - was when my elder brother and I stole the keys to a small seaside apartment my dad had, and we got caught partying there - and my dad tried to hit me and I told him if he did, I'd hit him back (I was 15 at the time), so he said:

"Your brother Herman is a fucking idiot, but you're not, so I expect more from you".

Those words have stuck with me ever since, and have driven me to never give up when confronted by anything or anyone who stood in my way.

Best to you.

It's all soooooooooooooo sad. Yes, those who feel nothing are psychopaths. We took nothing from covid relief and paid our rent but had to live off credit cards. It destroyed our teaching biz. We went more online for singing, songwriting, and guitar lessons but many don't want online.

I know exactly how you feel.

However, you guys are still standing and stronger for it.

All the best.

Add Lady Gaga to the list, she is a KNOWN Adrenochrome user!!!!!! My husband and I are "A" list recording artists, singer songwriter, guitarist and even though we are primarily teachers now, I never did the HORRIBLE things things "they" wanted me too so I never "Made it!!" So we had to file bankruptcy because of covid and are JUST getting by each month. It seems like you have to be a liar and or a whore to make it in the Music or acting "BUSINESS"

The $12T they printed went to their buddies. They spent it, while the money in your pocket became worthless.

In a fake money system, it's best to be connected right to the $$$ teat.

Castigated scientist Paul Ehrlich had a great phrase for what you've described:

"Capitalism for the poor, and Socialism for the rich."

I would change it to socialism for the rich and serfdom for the poor.

“Jesus sat down opposite the treasury, and watched the crowd putting money into the treasury. Many rich people put in large sums. A poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which are worth a penny. Then he called his disciples and said to them, ‘Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the treasury. For all of them have contributed out of their abundance; but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.” Mark 12:41-44

The rich stealing the tax payers pennies is a tale as old as time. Steal, you ask??? Oh, sure, they can claim that they pay “their fair share” or as Jesus said, “their abundance” to the tax man, but as the article details, they receive it back many times over in many tax benefits and breaks and in any way they can conceive. The poor widow, who not only lost her husband, she also lost her personal value in society. It’s important to remember, Jesus noticed and made mention of her plight to His disciples, and by extension, to us.

Though we cannot control the comings and goings of our tax dollars, we can vote with them and once the retailers and businesses figure out that their cash registers are running dry, though it might lead to their demise, it will strengthen our resolve as citizens to continue to support the little guy and of course, the widows and widowers who truly have been “left out and left behind”.

Lowlife pigs! While millions struggled, lost their businesses, jobs, couldn’t put food on the table. I’ll bet they gave nothing to help those who desperately need it. Nothing to charity. So they could maintain lifestyles for the rich and famous. They should pay it all back.

One of the hardest things to do is praying sincerely for one's tormentors and enemies that they may be rescued from the their own evils before their last breath. A sense of urgency for the condition of their souls is, however, the surest way of avoiding the fate that the unrepentant among them will endure for eternity. Victims can go to Hell too.

Wish no evil, but we can pray that God intervenes as he sees fit to bring an end to evil, to thwart the actions of the tyrants and the culpably compliant, and to bring them to salvation.

I have witnessed myself that the wicked (sometimes especially "religious ones") suffer a terrible retribution --- sometimes their children too. It is beyond my comprehension to explain that other than to suppose that God does his best to shake them into awareness before they are out of chances. I hazard a guess that for innocent offspring the calamity is Gods way of rescuing them before they can be corrupted by their parent(s).

Thus, praying for the best for a person protects one's own soul from indulging in desires for bloodthirsty vengeance (and, oh boy, don't we all know how easy that is), while very well may be a painful cure for the wicked in this life. You just have to let God do the picking and the acting, and you have to desire their rescue --- if possible.

There is a sin, it makes me shiver to think of it, from which there is no return. Even God can't fix that one --- but most people do not understand it. It is not even the most heinous crimes in the legal books: it is worse.
