My Gail was on a Mayo program for improving her metabolic condition and Lilly’s GLP1 was prescribed. After two months, she had trouble focusing and reading, and the retinal specialist said that she had inflammation of the retinal cells.. we stopped the injections immediately and within a week her eyesight was normal again. Because of EAU Lily is bypassing the community pharmacist and the community physician and selling the injections directly to overweight individuals without a physical or any other evaluation other than what Lily does remotely. No question in my mind that long-term effects are just starting to appear, and it will depend on whether or not the physicians will connect the dots.
Since the injections reduce muscle cells They have to have a negative effect on heart muscle as well as stomach muscles and the tiny muscles working in the G.I. track.
History tells us that there has never been an injection or a drug that was effective for weight loss that didn’t have side effects and I don’t believe this is any different and these could be very serious ! Remember liquid protein, remember Fen/Phen and more!
