We need laws banning voting machines, unless they leave an auditable paper trail. Also, that you take a picture of the ballot with a unique QR code you can check on a website how that vote was computed. The whole process could be anonymized (no mention to the name of the voter), there should be a web where to claim for any difference, opened to public scrutiny.
