This is all theatre for eyes in the west. Think back to March of 2020 when China displayed video clips of people falling over to make us think that they were dropping dead with Covid. It's all based on fear and manipulation. I believe that with these recent actions by China with locking down and entire city such as Wuhan there is again a motive by the Chinese to drive an agenda. The agenda is two fold; 1-cut the west from a number of critical goods. 2-Fabricate a story to support a narrative for the corrupted leftist leaders of the west? Most likely as we are being told that there is a need for our corrupted leaders to lock us down again this fall, and getting a story such as this out as a forewarning to our populous is a way of doing just this. Once again, this is not based on health, but based on what these corrupt Chinese leaders are spinning a fabricated story.
Yes, it does not make sense, if we care about people. One thing I have read: by shutting the port, they further disrupt the supply lines, damaging the West. I don't know why, though, they are doing this to children - except perhaps to teach them utter obedience to authority. What do you think is the underlying cause?

None of it EVER made sense. I was scratching my head about this back in March 2020. China has too many people for its land to support. And it especially has too many OLD people, due to 30 or 40 years of a one child policy. (I'm saying this imagining how they might be thinking). So why wouldn't it just let COVID rip? They knew by February that Covid was mostly deadly to senior citizens.
So a few of us were thinking that China was worried about COVID causing SERIOUS problems further down the line. Like maybe survivors would be ticking time bombs for cancer or dementia. And actually - that's still a possibility. And if so - people who have gotten the vaccines may be ticking time bombs with a shorter fuse.

Each functionary in China needs to prove up the chain they have the solution to any given situation. This determines if they will climb the ladder of "success". Success is measured by their proximity to the seat of heaven. The more of a spectacle their actions make, the more likely they are to be noticed. The Covid situation based on PCR testing can be manipulated to indicate success. So, let the clown show in China remain in China. In the long run, by ignoring natural immunity, they will bring great damage over generations there.
Bubble children is a sad thing, their immune system will not properly interact with the micro bio/viro-home, No ongoing training for their immune system, specially for the low risk level of the current variant, will make their defence weaker. The medical officials everywhere seem to be totally ignoring the harm this can cause.
