Although I have to realize the commandment, I was taught as, thou shall not kill, actually says actually says thou shall not murder. This harkens me back to a lecture years ago by Dennis Prager, noting that capital punishment is biblical, but in the common era, it is assumed that if you can, house the criminal, to remove them as a threat from society , this this is the humane way to dispense justice.
With those two thoughts in mind, I would not view a war against Hamas and Hamas supporters as murder. I believe we need to remove the threat from society, and since no Muslim country wants to provide safe haven for Hamas or the Palestinians, Hamas leaders and the Hamas followers need to go.
And if it incites other Muslims to Jihad, so be it. They started the actions that caused the initial Crusades, they may well do it again.
