I agree the first sentence might seem a bit direct, but others would say it like a "hook", it also rhymes with "right". (on sight / right). Imo it depends on if he himself is an illegal. If not, the standards for free speech are PRETTY HIGH, so what he said, if he is an US citizen, falls UNDER free speech.
