For many businesses/industries, complying with industrial standards and regulations is not a 100% shield against liability. Now the Democratic party is the leader in providing the shield - but to only specific players such as the vaccine industry. So you can sue the manufacturer of the medicine taken to try and alleviate the symptoms of an adverse reaction, but not the manufacturer of the cause.
