I think they are hiding these figures, I live in the uk and a colleagues mother committed suicide in 2020, no money or family issues, comfortable life good family. My sons university house mates friend aged 21 committed suicide December 2019. I go to a gym and spoke to one of the members who is a fireman who has worked in the fire service for over 30 years and they’ve never in that time had to attend so many suicides. A colleague had to attend 36 in one month alone and that is just one fire station. He was having to take sick time as suffering with stress at having to attend. He said one young lady had lit disposable bbqs in the bathroom and locked the door, he not only had to knock the door in and find this young lady but deal with telling the family. It’s truly shocking and tragic and people who’ve put these policies in, keeping us as prisoners need to pay severely. They have caused untold damage and that’s without the vaccine damage, economic damage too. I myself am a happy person but I found the winter lockdown 2 in winter 2020 very difficult indeed and thankfully I didn’t succumb to this but on days I found my thoughts wondering to dark places I’d never been. Thank you dr Alexander for doing what you’re doing.

Does anyone have some firm statistics on suicides in 2021? Unfortunately, our health authorities (Czech Republic) are hiding these and I guess percentile increase from year to year will be approximately the same as for any other country with same/similar restrictions.
