Parents were being prevented from going inside, yet police outside were doing nothing to save the babies, and the police inside did nothing, all 19; so parents should have acted!
As a former Intelligence Officer in the USMC I believe there is more evil here than we know.
Who was the Officer in charge of these cops? Somebody is always in charge. Why did they not storm the door while the shooter was in the process of murdering these children?

Was Officer Tatum present at the scene? If not, how can he accurately depict what occurred? Furthermore, how many years ago did he retire from the police force? At the door I saw a bevy of firefighters who told me it was safe to go back in because they had not determined where the fire was. Before. God. They. Said. That.
Another time I was advised by the Coast Guard. Had the hurricane not changed course I would not be writing this and my kids would not be here, either. Those happened in the same year and since then I make the decisions about safety after listening to experts. The ‘ experts’ said my daughter had no choice but risky brain surgery. Other, little known experts, disagreed. She’s fine now.
Trusting experts has NO place in parenting: our kids trust us to protect them.

This happened in Columbine too. The police waited, they were afraid. That's because they have very limited tactical training, they get trained on creating revenue for their area's or the state. They write traffic tickets and try to settle disputes before they easily write another revenue raising ticket. They have no idea how to run into a building where a shooting is taking place, they always come in later to mop up after the attacker kills themselves. Not always, there are outstanding examples, but they are rare. Time for you repubs (I'm independent) to demand more from police.

You are partially correct. Every individual that becomes a police officer has a unique level of bravery. I have 3 stepsons, all police officers, each one would have sacrificed their lives for those children. Does that apply to all officers, I suspect not. Who would you choose to protect your children?
The problem police have is their follow the orders mentally. I know your son may be different, but he is one out of hundreds that will follow any order. I've talked to many and they finally admitted their paychecks and pension are more important if it would come done to that. In Australia during the worst of the Orwellian episodes; the police admitted they knew what they were doing was morally wrong but hey they had families to feed.
This is why historically the police where the first to go in a revolution, they still followed the government and on rare occasions they sided with the people. When they sided with the people it was a bloodless revolution. On March 21, 2022 the Uvalde Police Dept had a day long training on mass shooting at the High School. They have taken down their notice asking for volunteer victims. I start to question when these skits happened before the release of Covid and monkeypox. They need our guns and there are crisis actors. There are alot of wholes in their stories. I have learned not to trust our government.
