If you mass vaccinate during a pandemic, with ongoing infectious pressure intersecting with sub-optimal immune pressure, then natural selection will select the 'fittest' variant forward to the future
I’m reading Robert Kennedy’s book “The Real Anthony Fauci”, and it seems Fauci pulled the same fraud with the HIV drug AZT and it’s trials. He should have been being bars after that ordeal. It’s no wonder he confidently thinks he can do it all over again.
My concern right at the moment is that we've got overlapping Delta and Omicron waves around the western (vaccinated) world. Omicron is more infectious, Delta more deadly -- if we have a recombination of the two we could end up with a more infectious and more deadly variant.
It is fairly clear from data around the world that the vaccines increase the risk of infection compared with the non-vaccinated -- as a result this risk of recombination is higher than if we'd never vaccinated anyone.
We had the chance to only vaccinate the most vulnerable. It would have made sense way back then to have mandated that the vaccinated have fewer freedoms, to limit the potential for vaccine escape. Instead we did the opposite -- vaccinated everyone and then gave the vaccinated more freedoms. The consequences were inevitable.
