While on the run, he was convicted last week of felony robbery in a neighboring county. He is eligible to have the felony reduced to a misdemeanor under Oregon law.

I live about 45 min outside of Portland. I have not been downtown in about 5 years.
That is a Monday evening in Portland.
I have a friend that owned a liquor store in Portland and when it got robbed, which was most months, the police will not show up unless the amount stolen is over 950. Eventually his landlord evicted him because the others in the strip mall complained about the patrons and violence.
