I have a personal example that might help explain why I so strongly agree with Dr. Paul. I have CL Leukemia, and the last time I saw my oncologist, she cryptically said that in the next 5 years she thinks that treatment will be totally different, as if there was something new on the horizon. That makes me very nervous. Astrazeneca already changed the formulation of my current medication (and that has caused me some problems, but the old version is no longer available). Imagine what would happen if these companies move to mRNA, transfection, etc. In fact, I fear that that's what's in the future for cancer treatment, and I think that's what my oncologist was referring to. And so even though I wouldn't be classified as "healthy", I DO NOT think that it's ok for treatment guidelines to recommend (and insurance companies require that guidelines are followed) transfection for me and others. Sadly, most cancer patients will probably acquiesce.
