I wrote about Johnson and his desire to live forever back in June 2023. The most bizarre aspect of his endeavor is that he is taking the blood of his 17-year-old son in order to keep himself young. Here’s our stack reporting

It’s easy to read of such people and think ‘he’s a narcissistic monster”. But I believe the root of his twisted thinking is fear, the opposite of faith. And without faith in God there is no peace, no joy and certainly no righteousness.

Hopefully he slips and falls, crossing over the event horizon of his vacuous and meaningless life. Once there, the tidal forces of delusion and regret will be so strong, not even the smallest glimmer of his feeble soul will be able to escape.

He like Yuval Harari, doesn't want to stand before God on judgement day, so one denies there is a God and the other fears the first death. Sad.

He would do well--very well--to read Robert Heinlein's Lazarus Long books--perhaps he has already. The picture of immortality painted in those stories is unpleasant, and painful.
