The little Catholic Church here in Devon, England, once again locked its doors after a brief service this afternoon. I had a chat with Father Philip’s asst. I asked why they were asking the congregation to still wear masks. Her answer “to protect parishoners”. “We have elderly people vulnerable, on chemo blah blah blah”. I responded but they are all getting covid anyway after their third jab. Why would you think a mask or this poison is helping anyone. She admitted she had covid a few weeks ago. Asked why I don’t believe masks work. My reply, because I am a nurse and I know they don’t protect anyone. One year ago I went to this church on Good Friday to be told, since I had not sign up to attend the good Friday service I would not be allowed in. When I said I only wanted to go in to say a prayer for my family and friends I was told no, it would not be possible because they would need three people to wipe down where I sat or anything I touched. I said I would stand in a corner. Nope, no go. One year later, this person believes masks saves lives and prevents the transmission of covid despite witnessing every last person around here getting covid post three jabs and wearing masks. One final thing. She mentioned they had to protect Fr. Philip as he was the only Catholic priest around. Oh boy, the Catholic Church is in some serious trouble folks.

I hear you and will keep you and your family , your church are in my prayers. I feel as if 1 of the purpose of shut downs was to damage our places for worship. My family's church lost half of our worshippers. The pastor decided to close our doors and we merged with a larger church. lots of people are now dropping away from this one as well. But the bottom line is, wherever our churches go we must always be the church, gather with others and have bible study, Pray and give to those in need. In his Holy Name.

Have a joyful Good Friday, and blessed celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I have wondered about the soldiers who hammered the nails into Jesus's hands and feet. Who were they? Are they an archetype of a certain type of person? What would the characteristics be? Can we see repeated episodes of these types of people in history? The Nazi guards ushering Jews to the gas chambers, CCP doctors doing live organ harvesting, policy makers forcing mandatory vaccination and mass masking. What are these people devoid of? Are they psychopaths? Jesus's crucifixion will always be a stark reminder that some humans are cruel and savage. Jesus brought a strong message of redemption and forgiveness. He was truly divine and in eternal light and love. He was the dutiful Son of God. The cross, our collective symbol, gives us anguish and hope.

Jesus message to the world when he gave his life to save humanity was pure love and hope. God blessed those who were taken in the name of hate. His message means more now than ever as we are being challenged all this evil.
