Obviously early days but consideration of virus to virus we see an entirely different scenario with this one. Even at this stage the information S Africa offered us is looking true. High infection, low everything else. I wonder how the controlling politicians will react as they lose their grip

Its likely a bit too soon to say that we have peaked. I read today that 21,099 new cases were reported, while yesterday the number of cases reported were 15,242 (see: https://maroelamedia-co-za.translate.goog/nuus/sa-nuus/covid-19-statistieke-syfers-klim-weer/?_x_tr_sl=af&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en-GB). Reports are often delayed in South Africa. Its a fact of life that South Africa shuts down business, for the holidays, in mid-Deceber, and only starts to function in the first week of January. Thus its probably a good idea to wait another week, or two.
