These protestors are unbelievably brave. The CCP usually 'disappears' anyone who even criticises them. These two guys, who we have followed for years, did a very good summary of what is going on. They both have Chinese wives and lived in China for many years until they had no choice but to flee.
Thank you for the link. My understanding is these people live in a brutal totalitarian state, this I have learned from immigrants who came to the US to escape the CCP. They told me they see the US as their last hope. Currently we are sliding into a 4th world dictatorship by a ruling party of elites. Their message was/is you (US) can not let it happen. Amazed the people in China are engaging in such large numbers in so many 'isolated incidents'. The section with the man being rescued by the crowd when being arrested for speaking freely says a lot about the mindset of the people.
I think it says that things have got so bad they no longer have fear. I pray they will succeed but I expect a brutal crack down by the CCP. It is truly appalling and yet as you correctly surmise the West is following the same path.
