I asked security if they caught him. Was sure they did. They said if we injure the thief we will be fired they were afraid of injuring him and he escaped.

As far as I am concerned…. I saw what these thugs did to their own population/citizens during so called Covid…. Um… karma? Let it be! No mercy! You reap what you saw regardless who you are.
Fortunately most Canadian policemen can distinguish between big mouthed braggadocio and actual serious threats. Part of the discernment is based on assessment of the situation. Here they are clearly aware that the context is the letting off of emotional steam.
I will add that emotion, outrage, is completely understandable, both on the parts of those who heard reports of atrocities committed during the Hamas incursion, and by those who see the retaliatory carnage. We have been exposed to a lot of unsubstantiated information to manipulate our opinions and emotions. It is important to examine whether we are simply accepting reports which substantiate our pre-existing or initial opinions and dismissing contrary reports without examination.
