Yes, it’s a social system for sure. Whether it’s right or not is debatable and variable. My children are long grown and out of school, but I still pay. We also all pay for many services like healthcare, libraries etc that we don’t use, and government employee perks and pensions that we will never get a part of. But I think that the old saying “it takes a village to raise a child” holds true in many ways. The children of today will be our caregivers tomorrow. They will be a big part of our future. I would like to see them be well educated critical thinkers who are kind, compassionate and understanding.
